    Head of Mortgage

    PURPOSE: 

    The Job holder will be responsible for the following Key results and objectives

    • As Product Owner for Mortgage, you will be expected to design, build, commercialize and continuously review Mortgage Proposition relevant to the market
    • Manage mortgage/project cases from start to finish, ensuring successful deal conversion and revenue momentum.
    • Develop and execute the Mortgage penetration strategy
    • Creating effective partnerships with key players in the real estate sector to increase NTB business
    • Manage mortgage pipeline to increase quality business through effective customer engagement.
    • Responsible for implementing in liaison with relevant stake-holders market leading turnaround times from application to disbursement.
    • Responsible for the P&L for the Mortgage Portfolio.
    • Partner with the Marketing Team to ensure successful results in various marketing initiatives e.g. Mortgage Expos and Developer Partnerships
    • Enhance the value chain by fostering relationships for a holistic customer experience.
    • Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify process improvement opportunities.
    • Delivering world class customer service practices and ensure adherence to I&M Bank Service standards.
    • Provide ongoing product expertise and support to Relationship Managers and clients, maximizing opportunity identification and solutions.
    • Monitor account activity, facility payments, and covenant compliance.
    • Achieve operational rigor excellence in all aspects of procedures and processes undertaken to ensure satisfactory audit.
    • Ensure portfolio quality in line with the bank's credit policy and risk management policies.
    • Ensure compliance with operations risk & rigour requirements e.g. Health & Safety standards and security of premises.
    • Build, Support and Motivate a high performing relationship management team committed to achieving consistently high levels of performance.
    • Providing regular review of individual and team performance against agreed objectives.

    Skills, Competencies & Experience

    • University degree in an analytical or business course e.g. Commerce, Actuarial Science, Economics, and Mathematics.
    • A Masters degree and professional qualifications in relevant field will be an added advantage. 
    • At least Ten 10 years’ experience in a Banking Industry.
    • Proven experience in real estate/project/construction financing.
    • Knowledge of mortgage financing products and services.
    • Coachable professional with good “business sense” and an energetic / dynamic personality.
    • Strong relationship management and team building skills; views team concept as critical to success
    • Very Strong Leadership skills 
    • Good understanding of Banking Operations and credit policies  
    • Business and Financial acumen 
    • Strong collaborative and stakeholder management skills

    Analyst - Corporate Advisory

    Job Purpose

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work collaboratively with the Bank /Group’s team to manage corporate finance engagements.
    • Financial and statistical analysis, financial modelling, writing and presentation of reports.
    • Corporate finance technical work including valuation, and the accompanying research work and preparation of support documents.
    • Performing due diligence services and processing of corporate advisory general works.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors and other relevant stakeholders within the Group.
    • Support the Corporate Advisory team in preparation of investor presentations for quarterly dissemination, annual integrated reports and other reports that may be required.
    • Support the Corporate Advisory team on the implementation of the sustainability agenda, coordinate discussions with I&M’s subsidiaries and supporting the reporting of sustainability related matters.
    • Other relevant tasks assigned.

    The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business related or any other relevant field.
    • Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, ACA or CISI and membership to a relevant professional body.
    • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in capital markets /Banking/experience in significant corporate finance advisory roles.
    • Working knowledge of the Capital Markets and Securities exchange regulatory framework in Kenya and other jurisdictions.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Must demonstrate strategic thinking and insight.
    • Expert experience with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
