    Head of Products (Retail)

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management

    • Define and execute the Retail product strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Provide oversight of the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization and retirement.
    • Ensure products remain competitive, compliant, and responsive to evolving customer needs.

    Research, Analysis & Innovation

    • Lead market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to inform product strategy.
    • Identify innovation opportunities to reimagine customer engagement and enhance product relevance.
    • Pilot new concepts and technologies to validate market potential and scalability.

    Product Development & Commercialization

    • Oversee the design, testing, and launch of new products and enhancements.
    • Ensure effective go-to-market strategies, pricing, and positioning to drive adoption.
    • Monitor performance of products post-launch and recommend refinements to maximize value.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

    • Collaborate with internal teams (Digital, Marketing, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal) to deliver product initiatives.
    • Build external partnerships with fintechs, industry players, and regulators to support product development.
    • Promote cross-functional alignment to ensure timely and effective execution.

    Governance, Risk & Compliance

    • Ensure all products adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk frameworks.
    • Monitor emerging risks across the product portfolio and implement mitigation measures.
    • Provide reporting and insights to senior leadership on product performance, risks, and opportunities.

    Leadership & Capability Development

    • Lead, mentor, and develop the Product Management team to strengthen execution capability.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer focus within the product function.
    • Build capacity for continuous improvement and best practice adoption in product management.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    HR Business Partner-Retail Business

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and direct a staff team of Senior HR Advisors OR work as a standalone HR professional for own HR area.
    • Acts as the primary HR reference contact for staff and line management and proactively support the delivery of HR Processes.
    • Spearhead and champion organisation design and change in liaison with line management, develop win-win and business aligned structural /staff changes.
    • Lead, manage and execute the performance management framework for own HR area (annual performance cycle and activities, reviews, appraisal, moderation, performance improvement programs, managing non-performance).
    • In liaison with the Resourcing Department, develop and execute manpower plans, recruitment and selection.
    • In liaison with the HR Learning, Development and Talent Department identify and develop training interventions to bridge staff skill and business competency gaps, drive and sustain the Talent Management strategy and plans (identify, develop and retain talent, designs succession plans for key talent and critical roles.
    • In liaison with the Employee Relations and Wellness Department, develop and sustain an enabling work environment for staff, implements staff recognition, disciplinary and grievance handling policies and procedures for own HR area.
    • In liaison with the Reward and Policy Department, develop performance oriented reward and incentive propositions for staff.
    • Develops, manages and or maintains relationships with INTERNAL / EXTERNAL customers/stakeholders/supplies relating to own HR Area: Staff, Heads of Department, Line Managers, Functional Directors, Regional Managers, and Branch Managers.
    • Maintain accurate and consistent data, records and statistics relating to own HR area.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

    • Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field; a master’s degree in the same will be an added advantage.
    • Possess a recognized professional certification in Human Resource Management.
    • Have at least 10 years of experience in Human Resource, with a minimum of 7 years as a HR Business Partner, including demonstrated management experience in the following areas:
      • Organizational structure design
      • Manpower planning, recruitment, and selection
      • Performance management
      • Job evaluation
      • People management
      • Project management

    General Manager – KCB Trustee Services

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to create new business opportunities for the Group in collaboration with senior management to accelerate revenue growth and build sustainable business.
    • Responsible for growth of market share, while retaining existing client base.
    • Prepare and make relevant returns to the Fiduciary Committee of the Bank and Regulators- RBA and CMA- Ensure that all the relevant returns are made to the regulators as stipulated by the Acts. (i.e. RBA Acts and Regulations and CMA Act and Regulations). And all other regulations.
    • Oversee the provision and development of trustee services in line with industry’s best practices 
    • Ensure KCB Trustee Services operates in a cost-effective manner by proposing an annual budget for revenues and cost framework for activities.
    • Responsible for growth of market share, while retaining existing client base 
    • Establish guidelines to interact with service providers including custodians, administrators, banks, actuaries and auditors among others by KCB Trustee Services staff.
    • Establish satisfactory risk framework, governance matrix and control procedures for business in compliance with regulatory authorities and compliance procedures.
    • Establish a governing code of conduct, based on the CFA code of ethics for KCB Trustee employees and ensure the rules are observed Ensure filing of returns to regulators is done on a timely manner.
    • Motivate and develop KCB Trustee Services staff through capacity building to ensure competence, high professional standards and productivity.

    Academic and Professional Qualifications

    • Minimum bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
    • Trustee Development program of Kenya Certification
    • CISI Certification
    • CFA Certification
    • Master's degree in business or related field is desirable.

    At least 10 years of relevant working experience.
