    Video Editor & Graphic Designer

    About the role

    • We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor & Graphic Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in video editing but is also skilled in graphic design. The successful candidate will have a sharp eye for storytelling, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to collaborate with a creative team to deliver high-quality visual content.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Edit and produce high-quality motion videos, ensuring engaging storytelling and seamless transitions.
    • Incorporate motion graphics, animations, and other visual effects into video content.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and execute compelling video projects.
    • Create graphic design assets for digital and print platforms as needed.
    • Ensure all deliverables align with brand guidelines and project requirements.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, software, and editing techniques to enhance output.

    Skills and Experience

    • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in video editing and graphic design, preferably in an agency or creative environment.
    • Diploma in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
    • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and composition.
    • Ability to bring a unique point of view to video editing and problem-solving.
    • Excellent time-management and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects effectively.
    • A keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cohesively within a larger creative team.

    Mechanical Design Intern

    About the Role:

    • BURN is currently seeking a mission-driven candidate as a Mechanical Design Intern.
    • Location: Kenya: Primary – Factory Ruiru

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support mechanical design through CAD modelling of parts and sub-assemblies.
    • Prepare simple 2D drawings and update existing documentation.
    • Assist in concept development and iterations of product components, hardware testing Jigs, and fixtures.
    • Actively support prototype fabrication (3D Printing, Sheet metal, Laser cutting, and assembly).
    • Support and participate in Lab testing activities (mechanical & performance testing).
    • Help organise design files, revisions, and BOM updates.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
    • Working knowledge of SolidWorks (Parts, Assemblies, Drawings).
    • Basic Understanding of DFM principles and manufacturing processes (sheet metal forming, injection molding, 3D Printing).
    • Comfortable working in a prototyping environment with basic workshop tools and equipment.
    • Must present evidence of practical design projects (e.g., Final Year Project or personal builds) beyond theoretical coursework.
    • Ability to manage assigned tasks and troubleshoot issues with minimal supervision.
    • Fluent in English with good documentation skills.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in product development.
    • Exposure to workshops, labs, or Makerspaces.
    • Detail-oriented and consistent in following instructions.
    • Proactive, reliable, and able to incorporate feedback quickly.
    • Curious and eager to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.
