    Zonal Sales Manager

    Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

    • Implementation and adoption of effective distribution strategy to grow sales within the assigned zone
    • Ensure achievement of set Key Performance Indicators as cascaded for the role
    • Prepare, plan and execute sales programs aimed at market penetration, relationship building, share growth e.g., Sales promotions, Road shows etc.
    • Ensure internal collaboration, teamwork development and implementation of key management and sales routines on the ground
    • Ensure incremental revenues through effective distributor stock management and distributor sales force management
    • Effectively manage team and allocated resources by ensuring adherence to the set work ways and standards
    • Support achievement and compliance to Airtel Kenya branding/merchandising standards for Channel and Franchise Partners in the assigned zonal area
    • Evaluate Franchise partners financial capability, recruit and manage them for productivity
    • Escalate any trade or network issues to the Network Regional manager and follow up for closure

    Qualifications and behavioral competencies:

    • Minimum of a graduate degree
    • 4 to 6 years hands on experience in retail sales within telecom, service sector or FMCG industry
    • Good leadership skills, able to successfully lead a team
    • Good analytical, presentation and effective communications skills
    • Good planning and organization skills
    • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
    • High agility, personal standards and goal oriented

    Key Account Manager

    The incumbent’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Meet and exceed given sales quota within an assigned portfolio of accounts
    • Develop key relationships to drive solutions that are innovative and provide value relative to the customer’s respective business needs
    • Responsible for overall account strategy and management to improve quality of relationships, product penetration, revenue share, supplier status and ranking
    • Serve as customer advocate, accountable for escalation and proper customer positioning on all issues pertaining to customer satisfaction
    • Ensure that all account plans, organizational charts, account information and related documentation are current and on file record
    • Provide overall management of new, existing portfolio and information relative to the customers including legal, product pricing, commercial management relative to contract agreements, price books, pricing tools, one-off deal specific bids, etc.
    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting in sales pipeline management, all regular and ad hoc sales reports as and when required

    Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate Degree in business related field or economics is required
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consultative selling, handling high value opportunities
    • Working experience in Telecoms, ICT, Integrators, or related industries
    • Good knowledge on GSM sales, work processes in corporate or public sector sales is an advantage

    Zonal Business Manager

    Responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

    • Contributing to the overall sales strategy and drive the execution of it on the ground to grow sales within the assigned market
    • Drive both mobile and airtel money new customer acquisition through direct and indirect channels to achieve set targets
    • Drive acquisition schemes for retailers and distributors and consumer benefit awareness at distributor and retailer level to ensure product and service availability in the market
    • Initiate and execute local level marketing initiatives to support customer acquisition and enhanced usage for incremental revenues
    • Push brand and product visibility in the marketplace which includes the roll out of branded company owned and franchised exclusive airtel shops
    • Identify, select appoint and manage suitable distribution partners while ensuring the right investment, infrastructure and involvement in order to gain return on investment (ROI)
    • Ensure total adherence to compliance processes on customer onboarding, financial and commercial policies, controls and processes
    • Actively participate in the recruitment of right talent, drive people productivity through right tracking, monitoring and reviewing mechanisms
    • Coordinate with other functions to ensuring the right network investments in the right place, right people in the team and the regions agenda is being heard

    Qualifications and behavioral competencies required

    • Minimum of a graduate degree
    • Over 8 years hands on experience in retail sales within telecom, service sector or FMCG industry willing to work anywhere in the country
    • Good leadership skills with at least 3 years’ experience of leading a team
    • Able to build collaborative relationships
    • Displays entrepreneurial skills
    • Customer centric
    • Build self and others for Execution excellence
    • Good analytical skills
