    Architect

    Key Responsibilities of the Architect

    • Designing of Buildings/factories
    • Supervising construction projects
    • Preparing periodic project updates/reports for presentation to the Board
    • Leading a team of design consultants during project implementation
    • Advising the Agency on all matters relating to its construction requirements
    • Coordinating external consultants
    • Ensuring the statutory requirements relating to construction projects are met on time
    • Supervising and coordinating and evaluating staff under him

    Qualifications/Skills/Experience of the Architect

    The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications, experience and competencies:

    • A Bachelors degree in Architecture from a reputable university.
    • Be a registered Architect by BORAQS.
    • Six (6) Years post-graduate experience in a busy architectural firm.
    • Must be competent in ArchiCAD and other necessary computer applications
    • Membership in a relevant Institute will be an added advantage.
    • Clear understanding of building contracts and project management
    • Strong analytical skills

    Foundation Manager

    Key Responsibilities of the Foundation Manager

    • Articulating and implementing appropriate CSR programmes.
    • Formulating and implementing the KTDA Foundation Strategic Plan in line with the KTDA Group’s Corporate Objectives
    • Ensuring the Foundation’s activities are well documented and publicized.
    • Raising funds for Foundation’s projects and managing the disbursement of grants and donations to beneficiaries.
    • Monitoring the implementation and evaluation of projects.
    • Originating and disseminating relevant reports on the activities of the Foundation.
    • Assessing requests for support and partnerships and recommending appropriate action in line with the Group’s CSR policies.
    • Ensuring compliance with the Group CSR policies and procedures.
    • Introducing and implementing global best practices in CSR Management.
    • Creating sustainable partnerships with other CSR stakeholders.
    • Representing the Foundation in appropriate CSR forums.
    • Craft CSR strategy implementation plans, and be held accountable for results.
    • Supervise the daily operations, including budget preparation and administration and any other resources employed by the Foundation.
    • Advising the Foundation Board on financial and strategic issues as and when required.

    Qualifications for the Foundation Manager Job

    The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications, experience and competencies: –

    • Bachelors degree in Social Sciences.
    • A Masters Degree in Community Development, Communication and Public Relations or Marketing will be an added advantage.
    • Seven (7) years experience in CSR, 2 of which must be at Management level.
    • Membership of a relevant CSR/ Fundraising association.
    • Demonstrated fundraising ability for not for profit organizations.
    • Good proposal and report writing skills for project funding.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Principal Legal Officer

    Responsibilities for the Legal Officer Job

    • Drawing of contracts, lease documents, loan agreements and other legal documents.
    • Ensuring that contracts, leases and legal documents have been prepared in the proper manner and that the relevant registers are updated.
    • Maintaining records of contracts, leases, loan agreements and the covenants therein.
    • Drafting and reviewing legal documents and contracts.
    • Providing timely information on renewals or termination of agreements.
    • Liaising with external lawyers on legal matters for and against the Group Companies.
    • Taking minutes for KTDA Holdings’ subsidiaries and committee meetings.
      Companies;
    • Participate in the co-ordination and preparation of legal opinions to the KTDA Group and Factory Companies;
    • Assist in negotiation, review and drafting of documentation for business transactions;

    • Monitor and report on compliance risk
    • Supervise Legal Assistants
    • Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications for the Legal Officer Job:

    • Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree from a recognized university;
    • A Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law
    • Registered advocate of the High Court of Kenya – Six (6) years standing;
    • Certified Public Secretary (CPS (K)
    • Current Practicing certificate
    • Demonstrate good grasp of Commercial law, the Constitution of Kenya and other relevant national laws;
    • Should have thorough knowledge of the tea industry and agricultural sector as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting the sector;
    • Exposure to IT packages
    • High levels of integrity and confidentiality
    • Excellent leadership skills and negotiation skills
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills
    • Excellent networking, interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
