    Games Tutor

    Job Description

    An officer at this level will be responsible to the Senior Games Tutor in overseeing the staff who perform the administrative work in the field; organizing; supervising and ensuring games and sports activities are practiced on regular basis; being in charge of all sports equipment; undertaking any other duties as may be assigned.

    For appointment to this grade an officer must have:-


    (i) A Bachelor Degree in Physical Education or its equivalent from a recognized University

    Senior Games Tutor

    Job Description

    Senior Students Counselor

    Job Description

    Clerk of Works

    Moi University intends to construct several buildings at its Bomet Campus, Bomet County:- 1 No. Library block ( 4-storey), 2 No Hostel blocks ( 4 – storey), 1 No Dining/ Multi-purpose hall (single story), 1 lecture hall block ( 3 storey) and related civil works.
    The university now wants to engage a qualified Clerk of Works on contract basis for 2 ½ years whose duty will be daily supervision of the construction works on site.

    Applicants are therefore invited from candidates who must:

    (i) Be in possession of Kenya Certificate of Education mean grade of C plain or Division II, with credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Physical Science.
    (ii) Have a National Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering awarded by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
    (iii)Have worked with a large organization, preferably, Government or Government Institution for a minimum period of years.

    Senior Quantity Surveyor

    Job Description

    Duties and responsibilities will involve co-ordination, checking and approval of Bills of quantities and specifications, direction and control of Contract Administration of construction project which entails, inter alia, evaluation of payments up to Final Accounts. Additional duties include reporting on contractual claims from contractors, resolution of disputes and liaison with the office of the University Legal Officer on cases requiring Litigation, Arbitration or other means of resolving disputes. Control and Implementation of Tendering and Procurement Procedures for all construction projects which entails the supervision of preparation of tender documents for main and specialist works, tender evaluations and recommendations to Council for approval and preparation of cost analysis for various types of buildings or other civil works.

    Senior Structural / Civil Engineer

    Job Description


    Duties and Responsibilities will include monitoring and execution of the work in specialized fields of civil engineering. Specific duties will involve being in charge of design teams, dealing with structural design, detailing and supervision of University buildings and other structures; Liaison with Architects on problems connected with projects under the Department and also checking and monitoring work produced by consulting engineers. Other duties will include preparation of specifications; bill of quantities; supervision and maintenance of the sewerage disposal scheme, surface water disposals, roads, parking areas, paved areas of the University buildings, schools, hospitals and other establishments and co-ordination of planning and execution of the projects under the Colleges and Campuses. The officer will, in all functional areas, be responsible and report directly to the principal Structural Engineer.

    (i) served in the grade of Structural Engineer Scale MU12 for a minimum period of three (3) years with a Master Degree, and five (5) years without a Master Degree;
    (ii) been registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya and be a corporate member of the Institution;

    (iv) demonstrated professional competence in work performance and results.

    (i) A Master degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from a recognized university.

    Principal University Architect

    Job Description


    The Principal Architect will be the Head the Architectural Section. He/she will be responsible for monitoring of expenditure on the University Building Programmes; the officer will also be in-charge of a number of multidisciplinary working groups employed in the design and construction of various types of University buildings. In addition, the officer will be required to co-ordinate the preparation of forward budget, draft and revised development estimates for development projects. Duties will also entail dealing with policy matters of architectural nature originating from University, University Campuses, research and private consultants, faculties, departments, government ministries; manpower training projections; Council matters, maintenance of discipline and matters relating to the day today administrative problems of the section. In the absence of the Development Officers, the Principal Architect will be the Head of the entire Development Department.

    Senior Legal Officer

    Job Description

    Chief Internal Auditor
