    Data Science Implementation Engineer

    Responsibilities for the Data Science Implementation Engineer Job

    • You will be the principle ETL developer responsible for managing existing and new processes and applications required to extract, transform, clean and move data and metadata from source systems into our data warehouse or operational data store.
    • You will be the heartbeat of our data strategy by ensuring our data solutions are up to date and accurate as well as ensure that our activation and growth toolsets are highly available.
    • You will whole-heartedly own the responsibility to ensure that the data science, activation and growth department as well as their tool’s data requirements are met by managing our data pipeline, campaign management solution and our analytics tools’ performance and uptime.
    • You will be practical and hands on and we will work with you to build product feature enhancements on-top of our current analytics toolsets and campaign management tools to ensure that our data driven consumer acquisition, activation, use and retention goals are met and exceeded.
    • You will lead the department’s collaboration with internal stakeholders to define and execute cross-functional data movements into our central warehouse.

    Qualifications for the Data Science Implementation Engineer Job

    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent experience required
    • 3+ years practical experience with the Java & PHP programming languages a must.
    • Experience in software life-cycle development (SDLC).
    • Experience with web services – SOAP & REST Based.
    • Preferred experience with Apache Tomcat application server and SOA.
    • Expert ability in SQL and mySQL server management and administration.
    • Expert scripter in Linux, Solaris or UNIX OS’s.
    • Excellent and demonstrable system and solutioning design and documentation skills
    • 1 years’ experience in managing data lineage, ETL design and maintenance prefered.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment
    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Ability to translate ideas and business requirements into fully functioning ETL workflows initiatives on several simultaneously assigned tasks.

    Data Scientist

    Responsibilities for the Data Scientist Job

    • You will use your ability to create value-adding analytic systems, toolsets and processes that support user acquisition, user engagement, usage growth and retention.
    • Work in a multi-disciplined team where you’ll take full ownership of turning discoveries and ideas into machine learning models. You’ll use the model’s output to help us create and improve products and features for our customers, preferably in short cycles.
    • Our ideal candidate is result-focused, innovative and has solid quantitative background and a good business understanding.
    • Ability to Transform large, complex datasets into pragmatic, actionable insights and in turn quantify and influence tangible business gain.
    • Ability to see beyond the numbers, be the voice of data when communicating to decision makers, product owners and other business leaders.
    • Create insightful data visualizations that highlight trends.
    • Sourcing and implementing data gathering processes from multiple sources including product usage records, VOC and customer databases to create integrated views and insights that can be used to drive decision making.
    • Preparing periodic, continuous and ad hoc reports clearly showing business trends and customer behavior.
    • Track consumer behavior on daily and weekly trackers as well as on weekly, monthly/quarterly and yearly reports.
    • Monitor product lifecycle and highlight early signs of product use change.

    Qualifications for the Data Scientist Job

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science or Economics. Must show experience in data analysis.
    • 4 or more years’ experience in a reporting/data analysis role(s) and environments. Experience in using SQL based data mining and analysis required. Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase an added plus.
    • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable.
    • A good scripter able to use analysis tools creatively to programmatically answer complex business questions in a data driven approach at relative speed.
    • Good applied statistics skills and experience, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. with excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-means, Naive Bayes, SVM and Decision Trees.
    • Experience in building and/or maintaining an ETL data flow system an added plus though not a must. The candidate must however demonstrate that he/she has a good understanding of data cleaning and transformation techniques.
    • Strong co-ordination and project management skills to handle complex projects.
    • Entrepreneurial, Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude.
    • Ability to manage a large queue of work and meet assignment deadlines through personal initiatives on several simultaneously assigned tasks.

    Consumer Activation & Growth Manager

    As a growth manager, you will work closely with the products team, the data science team, customer service and your fellow growth managers to create and execute compelling and impactful growth strategies for our consumer product ultimately leading to more users in our ecosystem majority of who should be very happy and are increasingly consuming more and more products from our product basket.

    Responsibilities for the Consumer Activation & Growth Manager Job

    • Work in a multi-disciplined team where you’ll take full ownership of turning user acquisition, conversion usage and retention ideas into actionable campaigns and processes.
    • You will lead the clustering and segmentation of users into micro segments and define a clear lifecycle plan for each by way of decision tree based campaigns.
    • You will create and manage by way of tracking, tweaking and reviewing activation and growth campaigns using various channels- SMS, app notification, email and social media. Every day, every month and quarter, you will track how many users you have converted via the different campaigns and tactics you have employed. You will record this and present this at various forums and channels via the regular reports, case studies, newsletters and contextual reports to be used in future decision making.
    • You will create sound business cases for targeted acquisition or usage promotions with clear budget requirements, goals and timelines.
    • You will work with the data scientist to source and implement data gathering processes from multiple sources including product usage records, VOC and customer databases to create integrated views and insights that can be used to drive decision making.
    • Keenly monitor the product and the user lifecycle so as to highlight early signs of product use change.

    Qualifications for the Consumer Activation & Growth Manager Job

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Marketing or a Social Science but with product/data analysis experience.
    • 2 or more years’ experience in a product management, customer lifecycle or campaign management at a data driven company. Having ever served in a Customer Contacting role an advantage but not a must.
      Advanced MS Excel analysis and reporting skills. Experience in SPSS or SQL based data mining and analysis is a huge plus.
    • A demonstration through your previous work of an ability to innovatively and quickly solve business problems by means of product changes, business process re-engineering or toolset(s).
    • Strong co-ordination and project management skills to handle complex projects.
    • Entrepreneurial, Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude.
    • Ability to manage a large queue of work and meet assignment deadlines through personal initiatives on several simultaneously assigned tasks.
