    Head of Internal Audit

    The Internal Auditor will provide an independent, objective assessment aimed at improving the SACCO operations. The Auditor will design a systematic and disciplined approach of reviewing all the SACCO functions, governance and risk management processes as per International Auditing Standards and Guidelines issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors.

    Duties for the Internal Auditor Job

    • Develop a risk–based annual audit plan and conduct audits to ensure compliance with the company policies and standards;
    • Design internal audit procedures and work programs, document in detail the scope, nature and timing of audit activities;
    • Advise management on the resourcing requirements for the Internal Audit function, including any potential outsourcing arrangements;
    • Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the established internal controls and procedures;
    • Conduct risk assessment of assigned department or functional area in established/required timeline;
    • Conduct and oversee the Audit of Information Systems;
    • Discuss audit findings and recommendations with line managers and report significant issues to senior management;
    • Monitor the timely implementation of the management actions /mitigating controls recommended in the audit reports;
    • Provide feedback to the Management and Board Committees on execution of mitigating factors of the internal controls;
    • Conduct ad-hoc investigations and reviews as requested by senior management, Chief Executive and or the Board Audit Committee;
    • Provide support to the company’s anti-fraud programs;
    • Assist the development of an internal control culture, including capacity development of staff;
    • Monitor the trends and developments of the internal audit function in other sectors and international standards;
    • Liaise with the external auditor on internal control issues.

    Internal Auditor Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
    • Professional certification in CPA; certifications in CIA and CISA are an added advantage;
    • A minimum of five years’ experience working as an internal auditor in financial industry;
    • Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills Systems knowledge, ability to adapt to change quickly;
    • Must be computer literate, a team player, with good communication skills;
    • Proper and organized documentation skills and attentive to detail good presentation Skills;
    • Knowledge of SACCO operations and SACCO Regulations.

    Sales Executive

    Duties of the Sales Executive

    1) Generating leads and turning them into opportunities for member recruitment and savings mobilization
    2) Contacting potential customers via telephone, email and face to face
    3) Working towards Key Performance Indicators’ and revenue targets as set by the sales and marketing manager, branch managers and head of business and growth
    4) Arranging meetings with prospective members in order to demonstrate financial products and services
    5) Negotiating periodic savings with potential members
    6) Identifying opportunities for new business within the market.
    7) Paying attention to competitors and their activities within the industry
    8) Building long-term relationships with new and existing Members
    9) Ensuring all administration relating to sales and marketing is completed effectively
    10) Working closely with other departments and finding opportunities to cross sell products

    Requirements

    1) Proven ability to drive sales and generate new business
    2) Relevant industry experience ideally gained from a competitor business
    3) Good communication and presentation skills
    4) Confident and experienced negotiator able to drive revenue and recruit members

    Branch Manager

    Job Description

    The Branch Manager is responsible for the Branch Business and efficient daily operation of a ful service branch office. These include sales and marketing of SACCO products and services, branch operations, lending, customer service, and security and safety in accordance with the SACCO's objectives.

    Duties of a Branch Manager

    1) Direct all operational aspects including service channel operations, customer service, human resources, administration, marketing and sales
    2) Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
    3) Develop forecasts, financial objectives and business plans
    4) Meet SACCO business and operations performance goals and metrics
    5) Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately
    6) Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, personal development and motivation
    7) Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities
    8) Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs
    9) Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
    10) Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws
    11) Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company
    12) Stay abreast of competition and provide reports on market movement and penetration
    13) Addressing customer service issues as raised by members
    14) Work closely with sales teams at the branch to supervise train and advise

    Branch Manager Requirements

    1) Proven branch management experience, as a bank manager or similar role
    2) Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices in channel management
    3) Ability to meet business targets and goals
    4) Familiarity with SACCO rules and regulations
    5) Excellent organizational skills
    6) Results driven and customer focused
    7) Leadership and human resources management skills
