    Project Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities

    •    Network with UNHCR & other organizations
    •    Grant and/or proposal writing as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other fundraising activities.
    •    Collects and analyzes data; prepares scheduled and special reports; maintains program/project records and statistical information.
    •    Coordinates development and implementation of Kenya Good Neighbors program activities in Kakuma.
    •    Coordinates activities of other staff, and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.
    •    Other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

     Required Qualifications

    •    Bachelor’s degree with five (5) years’ experience working in a refugee camp.
    •    Experience working with UNHCR and/or other UN agencies preferred.
    •    Ability to have networking and partnership
    •    Good proposal writing skills with clear understanding of M&E, Project Design methods
    •     Ability of Creative thinking, problem solving, strategic planning, persuasive communication.
    •     Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
    •     Good reporting and Computer skill (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Presentation).
    •     Fluency in English.
    •     Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
    •     Able to conduct community participation and mobilization

    Hope Schools Project Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities

    •    Coordinates development and implementation of Kenya Good Neighbors Hope school project activities.
    •    Collects and analyzes data; prepares scheduled and special reports; maintains Hope schools project records and statistical information for impact evaluation.
    •    Assists with grant and/or proposal writing as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of Hope School projects; may participate in other fundraising activities.
    •    Coordinates activities of other staff, and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of Hope school project objectives.

     Required Qualifications

    •    Bachelor degree with three (3) years’ experience in International Development, education, project management and related discipline.
    •    Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
    •    Project M&E experience preferred

    Income Generation Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities

    •    To supervise, follow up and monitor cooperative and Income Generation Group activities.
    •    Assist Income Generation Groups in developing visible and viable business plans
    •    Conduct training of Income Generation groups in business skills, livelihoods and financial management
    •    Link Income Generation Groups to local, regional and international stable markets
    •    Keep/manage records of revolving funds among IG groups
    •    Work closely with Sponsorship Services Department (SSD) to identify vulnerable parents of sponsored children for Income Generation Activities (IGAs) support.
    •    Prepare and submit timely reports.

    Required Qualifications

    •    1 year experience in supporting Income Generation cooperatives as a manager or coordinator.
    •    Diploma in Cooperatives Management or other livelihoods related disciplines
    •    Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player.
    •    High level of integrity, commitment and professional responsibility.
    •    Ability to tolerate cultural, educational and religious diversity in the work place.
    •    Good analytical and problem solving skills.
    •    Ability to work independently with guidelines and clear expectations

    Construction Project Intern

    Key Responsibilities

    •    Assist Construction coordinator in overseeing and supervising all construction activities for Good Neighbors constructions
    •    Managing all process for construction and registration
    •    Prepare documentation for approval and registration
    •    Lobbying government and other authorities for achieving our mission
    •    Building networks of project-related experts and influential groups to involve into Good Neighbors.
    •    Assist in review contractor’s performance as per contracts awarded
    •    Assist estimating bills of quantity/ quotation for constructions and maintenance repairs
    •    Supervise the constructions of Good Neighbors facilities in the field
    •    Supervise contractors on site and report on progress frequently
    •    Assist in preparation and submission of monthly reports on repairs and construction

     Required Qualifications

    •    Diploma Graduate in: Civil or Building Engineering and Construction
    •    Good interpersonal organizational and communication skills
    •    Good written and spoken English.
    •    AUTOCAD, ARCHI-CAD and MS Project
    •    Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel

    Operations Department Intern

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research and report on various departmental activities as required by supervisor so as to meet project objectives.

    Administration Department Intern

    Key Responsibilities

    •    Assist in developing, planning and implementing goals and objectives for the finance department to ensure compliance with organizational financial policy as well as statutory         financial requirements and provide constructive inputs regarding the financial policy issues to the Manager.  
    •    Coordination: Coordinate with other departments regarding the financial matters and suggest new ideas regarding the changes.
    •    Keep every financial information as a confidential and maintain harmonious relationship with the financial institutions where the organization has maintained balances.
    •    Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial and analytical periodical report and monthly financial report.
    •    Filing and Documentation: Assist the team to keep the documentation part stronger by keeping hard copy for all transactions completed as far as possible and maintain                 backup of all financial transactions in hard copy and soft copy.
    •    Compliance and Internal Control: Monitor income and expenditure of the organization and ensure that the transaction has been taking properly and monitor individual heading       budgets and running balances for all expense areas.

    Required Qualifications

    •    Bachelor of commerce degree Accounts/Finance Option or equivalent with CPA 2.
    •    Knowledge of Quick Book, finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
    •    Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.  
    •    Fluency in English and Computer skill (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Presentation).
