    Legal Assistant

    The job holder is responsible for carrying out legal administrative activities assigned to him/her by the Corporation Secretary & Legal Officer including assisting in drafting and perusing legal documents and maintenance of records for all cases and advise on the same.

    Legal Assistant Job Responsibilities

    • Update records as per legal notices from time to time;
    • Record and alert lawyers on court hearing dates;
    • Record all cases in the courts and with lawyers;
    • Undertakes research and case retrieval;
    • Provide legal advice to walk-in clients in the absence of the legal officers;
    • Maintain the departments diary to ensure deadlines are met and relevant events attended;

    Security Officer

    Security Officer Job Responsibilities

    • Advise management on all security matters including policies and implementation strategies;
    • Ensure protection of the Placement Services assets against theft, terrorism, pilferage, damage, misuse and sabotage;
    • Implement security measures to ensure maximum protection of the Placement ServiceÕs staff and property;
    • Direct investigations into security breaches, potential threats and taking or recommending remedial action to protect the institutions interests;
    • Establish and maintain linkages with law enforcement agencies to enhance security;
    • Collect and analyse intelligence on current trends in crime and other security matters that could adversely affect the institutions operations, staff and stakeholders and recommend appropriate action to management;
    • Liaise with the landlords outsourced security guards to ensure that services rendered meet the set standards;
    • Oversee safety training and fire drills; ensure that first aid kits in vehicles and the office premises are stocked in a timely manner; and
    • Facilitate prosecution of offenders in collaboration with other agencies and the legal department.

    Requirements for the Security Officer Job

    • Have served in a security supervisory position in the Armed Forces or the Police Service for a minimum period of two (2) years or in a comparable and relevant position in the public or private sector including a security firm;
    • Have a Bachelors degree in Criminology or a related qualification from a recognised institution;
    • Possession of a Diploma in Criminology or related qualification will be an added advantage;
    • Demonstrated ability to win the support and cooperation of security agencies;

    General Assistant

    General Assistant Job Responsibilities

    • Clean and tidy the offices and the aisle on a daily basis, ensuring a good work environment in line with set standards;
    • Empty and clean rubbish bins and ensure appropriate disposal of waste;
    • Carry out periodic general cleaning of the premises;
    • Prepare and serve beverages and ensure adherence to cleanliness and hygiene standards;
    • Cleaning kitchen utensils and towels and ensure continuous availability of crockery and utensils including cups, glasses, plates, spoons etc;

    Driver

    The job holder is responsible for providing safe, courteous and coordinated movement of staff, visitors and other stakeholders to authorised destinations and also to ensuring the security and safe transfer of goods they transport and assigned vehicles.

    Driver Job Responsibilities

    • Transport staff, stakeholders and goods courteously to authorised destinations;
    • Ensure work tickets are updated to reflect the itinerary before beginning a journey; 3. Ensure safe custody of assigned vehicles and related accessories;
    • Carry out weekly inspection of assigned vehicles, document findings and submit signed forms to the supervisor;
    • Continuously monitor the condition of assigned vehicles and report defects immediately they occur and ensure follow-up repairs are carried out;
    • Maintain cleanliness of all assigned vehicles, both internal and external, and body condition;
    • Report incidents and/or accidents, no matter how small, immediately they occur and ensure the relevant documentation is completed within 48 hours;
    • Report to supervisor when scheduled services are due and book service times for assigned vehicles;
    • Report any damages, loss of items, defacing, and incidents however slight on arrival or when noted;
    • Comply with and observe the Kenyan Highway Code, the Placement Service policies, Transport Management
    • Policies and Driver Guidelines at all times with minimal deviation; and
    • Troubleshoot basic maintenance problems.

    Requirements for the Driver Job

    • Have served in the position of Driver for a minimum period of two (2) years in the public or private sector;
    • Have an O Level Certificate;
    • Be IT Literate;
    • Shall be desirable that he/she has Motor Vehicle Mechanic Grade certification or a related qualification from a recognised institution
    • Possess a driving license for class ABCE; and
    • Possess Directorate of Criminal Investigations Certificate of Good Conduct.

    Internal Auditor

    Reporting to the Internal Auditor, the job holder is responsible for providing an independent and objective assurance of the reliability and integrity of all information systems and channels and to assist the management in the evaluation of internal controls.

    Internal Auditor Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the development of the annual Information Systems Audit Plan;
    • Execute information systems audit reviews based on the annual Information Systems Audit Plan;
    • Carry out information systems audits, review existing internal control systems and procedures and report on their effectiveness;
    • Carry out compliance audits for information systems management procedures and ensure departmental compliance to the established control framework;
    • Carry out routine information systems audit investigations on areas identified by Management;

    Requirements for the Internal Auditor Job

    • Have served for a minimum period of five (5) years in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
    • Have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Management Information System or Business Management and IT or a related degree from a recognised institution;
    • Be a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA);
    • Be a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA);
    • A Masters degree in a relevant field from a recognised institution will be an added advantage;
    • Have demonstrated professional competence and ability in planning, management and administration of the human resource and administration function;
    • Have demonstrated a high degree of professional competence and ability in the auditing of information systems and other auditing functions.

    • Preparing suppliers invoices for payment and creating a linkage between procurement and payment files in accordance with the Public Procurement & Asset Disposal Act and Regulations;
