    Dispatch Clerk

    Duma Works is recruiting a Dispatch clerk for one of our clients in Limuru, a leading manufacturer of dairy products.

    Dispatch Clerk Job Responsibilities

    • Pack the orders efficiently and quickly in dispatch to ensure cars can leave on time.
    • Ensure the orders are packed according to the car dispatch schedule.
    • Make sure you have all the stocks of all items in dispatch liaising with the production team to get what you need the day BEFORE you need it to pack.
    • Assist where necessary in the weekly stock take of the inventory in dispatch.
    • Manage rotation of stock and manage FIFO (first in first out) of dispatch to ensure you sell the older stock first.
    • Make sure dispatch walls and floor are cleaned and sanitized weekly.
    • Adhere to all HACCP and ISO requirements for dispatch.
    • Keep the area around dispatch clean and free from paper on the floor dropped in the packing process.
    • Make sure all tables are cleared after packing.
    • Ensure you have dry ice at all times and liaise with the office manager if running low.
    • Be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the goods is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer. You are the final check of items so ensure there are no loose vacuums, incorrect labels and dirt on the cheese.
    • Dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner to ensure effective, safe, accurate dispatch and ensure accurate and timely completion of vehicles being loaded.

    Requirements for the Dispatch Clerk Job

    • Form 4 leaver
    • Fluent in English and Swahili
    • You reside near Tigoni, Ruaka, Banana, Limuru, Ndenderu, Kiambu or Kikuyu and must be willing to relocate to Tigoni.
    • 1-2 years experience in a similar role
    • High standards of hygiene
    • Must be honest

    Current Sales Executive

    Company Overview

    Acacia Innovations Ltd. is a start-up which provides environmentally friendly and cost-saving cooking and fuel solutions.

    They are seeking a full-time, high-level sales executive to bring in orders from schools, hotels and restaurants for Kuni Safi briquettes, a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to firewood made from sugarcane waste. Kuni Safi is nearly smokeless and lasts for up to 4 hours.

    It is twice as efficient as firewood, thereby helping customers save up to 50% on their cost of fuel. Acacia Innovations has supplied over 100 schools, hotels, and restaurants with Kuni Safi to date.

    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a mature, sophisticated, and experienced sales executive to grow their sales of Kuni Safi briquettes. This position is well suited to someone with extensive institutional sales experience and a professional network. Sales executives will work mostly in the field, with office work limited to customer phone calls and reporting.

    The ideal candidate should have a strong track record of meeting sales targets and be highly motivated, target-driven, and a persuasive negotiator.

    Responsibilities

    • Generate leads and cold-call leads provided by company; educate potential customers about Kuni Safi.
      • Identify schools, restaurants, hotels, and hospitals with large consumption of firewood.
      • Contact potential institutional customers by phone, email, or visit.
      • Perform simple demonstrations of Kuni Safi briquettes (with assistance from Kuni Safi staff)
    • Actively solicit orders with a starting target of 20+ tonnes per month (5-15 institutional customers)
      • Negotiate purchase orders according to pricing requirements.
        Ensure that all institutional customers understand the terms of the agreement and payment
      • Secure orders and communicate all orders received to the company.
      • Assist in the collection of payment as necessary.
    • Maintain thorough communication with Acacia Innovations staff and potential customers.
      • Track all potential customers and closed deals on the templates provided by Acacia Innovations.
      • Respond in a timely manner to all phone calls within 12 hours and emails within 24 hours.
    • Contribute to sales strategy and develop new sales channels.
      • Recommend improvements to the sales strategy and process to the CEO.
      • Exercise creativity in the sales process to improve your conversion rate.

    Qualifications

    • Strong track record in sales- demonstrable results of meeting 80-100% of sales goals per month, as
      confirmed by your references
    • 5+ years of experience selling to large institutions, ideally schools and/or hotels
    • Existing professional network of school/restaurant/hotel owners and administrators
    • Excellent at sales mathematics and comfortable discussing pricing and cost savings
    • High confident and presentable
    • Strong and persuasive negotiator
    • Able to work independently; highly motivated
    • Target-driven; able to realistically set and meet goals
    • Excited to work for a start-up and contribute to building a new sales strategy

    Company Secretary

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Managing Director you will be required to directly supervise the finance, commercial and stores & procurement departments.

    You will also be required to take initiatives and give key input and take various responsibilities in the company’s overall administration and operations.

    Other key tasks include internal audit, MIS, budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, securing funding and being an integral member in the decision making process for further investments / projects.
