    Electromechanical Technician

    Job Description

    Our client is a leading player in construction and public works in Africa with offices in several countries in the continent.

    They seek to hire an experienced and competent Male Electromechanical Technician who will ensure quality and safety of equipment on the different sites.

    He will report to the Material Manager and also ensure compliance with the laws and regulations governing the project works.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Manage the power generation equipment, production equipment for concrete, asphalt and aggregates, fixed and mobile lifting equipment, the electrical installations of the projects, the technical base and the housing stock
    • Diagnosis of breakdowns
    • Advise the Project Manager (s) and gives an opinion on the project facilities and the technical interventions of the equipment according to the production schedule.
    • Follow the planning use of the equipment to conduct monthly technical visits on sites and inform the project Manager of any possible stops.
    • Organize technical visits of the lifting equipment by the approved service provider according to the standards in force and follow the report executed for corrective actions
    • Organize the reception of tower cranes by an approved service provider after assembly and organize periodic visits according to the standards in force.
    • Organize audits of electrical installations by an approved service provider according to the standards in force and following the audit report
    • Evaluate and guide the staff in their training, adapted to the various positions
    • Regularly report to the Material Manager on problems encountered
    • Check orders and establish purchase requisitions to be signed by the Materiel Manager.
    • Assess use of equipment and determine the cost of the deterioration

    Qualifications

    • Degree or diploma in a related field
    • Electrical AND Mechanical skills A MUST
    • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience
    • Experience in civil construction sites is desirable. Preferably also have experience handling multiple projects.

    • Organized, rigorous and precise. Must also have good reporting skills

    Finance Manager

    Job Responsibilities

    • Manage all day to day accounting operations of the business ensuring that correct transactions are posted in the system in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Ensure that the company financial and accounting policies are implemented correctly.
    • Provide feedback to the CFO on company policies and procedures, and constantly look out for potential changes which could improve operational efficiency, reduce costs or improve cash flow management.
    • Ensure the integrity of the financial data in the accounting software.
    • Implement a strict internal control framework, with adequate checks and balances, to mitigate against the risk of fraud or error.
    • Ensure that the company does not have stock outs, and that orders are placed in a timely manner for all replenishment.
    • Be an integral part of the monthly financial stock takes and investigate all variances which arise and explain these to management.
    • Support negotiations with suppliers in an effort to grow the company’s gross margin.
    • Analyze transaction data and make recommendations on general business optimization.
    • Ensure that the company is fully compliant with all tax and financial obligations as per the legislation and regulations of Kenya. Engage third parties to provide assistance as and when necessary.
    • Develop, in conjunction with the senior management team and the credit manager, a robust process for credit management and be responsible for its implementation.
    • Be responsible for levels of AR and ensure that targets are hit, with any variances being explained to senior management.
    • Motivate and lead finance and credit team members by providing training, guidance, and direction to ensure work is performed in an efficient, timely, and knowledgeable manner.
    • Develop and track department key performance indicators and provide regular feedback to the team on these and any areas in need of improvement.
    • Ensure all documents are filed in an organized manner and easy to retrieve.
    • Manage the annual external audit and present the draft audited accounts to the CFO and board for review and sign off.
    • Escalate any issues or worries to the CFO and/or the rest of the senior management team.
    • Additional controller duties as necessary
    • Budgeting & Reporting
    • Lead the annual budget setting process with all departments ensuring they have sufficient training in how to complete templates, and then collate all the information into one company-wide budget for presentation to management.
    • Provide weekly short term cash flow forecasts for CFO and senior management to review and sign off on.
    • Prepare monthly financial reports on company performance, and ensure any issues are investigated and explained.
    • Prepare weekly lists of payment runs for approval by CFO.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Finance/ Accounting plus full professional Accountancy
    • At least 5+ overall experience in finance
    • 2+ years’ proven working experience as a Financial Controller or high level Finance Manager.
    • Qualifications (fully qualified and member of ICPAK)
    • Previous experience working for a startup company in the same capacity is an added advantage.

    Supply Chain Officer

    Job Description

    Our client is a leading food products distribution company in Kenya. They seek to hire a dedicated, organized and results driven individual to fill in the role of a supply chain officer.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ensuring the company complies with laws, regulations, and standards in place for shipping and receiving.
    • Obtaining quotes for transportation and making cost comparisons, Negotiate prices and terms with vendors, or freight forwarders.
    • Prepare process and/or review purchase requisition/orders as required.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, and sales, to keep up to date with product acceptance in market.
    • To Generate and/or review inventory reports
    • Updating sales team on any red flags: slow moving, near expiry, or out of stock products.
    • To Send weekly pipeline to warehouse to prepare themselves before the receipt of any shipment
    • Follow up with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve outstanding and overdue delivery of orders warranty claims and damage and return of materials.
    • Coordinate and track shipment by pulling and packing of materials and arrange appropriate transportation.
    • Inform the clearing agent prior to arrival of goods and giving the required information
    • Issue original documents on time to the clearing agent and adhere to proper documentation
    • Ensure the company adheres to shipping/receiving and regulatory compliance procedures
    • Coordinating transport for goods from port to the warehouse and monitoring empty containers drop off.

    • Ensure all formalities are certified with the government agencies prior to importation

    Job Responsibilities

    • Delivering against Forecast – The first and foremost responsibility will be to motivate and drive the Sales team to deliver against the forecast sales and margin targets in every region, whilst maintaining the agreed cost base.
    • Ensure that the Sales teams are aligned with the Company Mission and Values and understand the financial and impact objectives of the organization and their role in delivering that.

    • Be commercially astute with a solid understanding of a company’s commercial revenue drivers.

    Territory Sales Manager

    • Experience in managing a distribution region will be an added advantage
    • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
