    Turbine Operator

    Our client a Manufacturing Group in East Africa is currently seeking to fill the role of a Turbine Operator.

    The Turbine Operator will monitor the on line boiler system and its supporting equipment, make adjustments, perform tests, and take action as necessary to provide uninterrupted steam for Industrial Operations.

    Key Roles:

    • Provide Steam Turbine operation and maintenance services that sustain reliable generation of quality steam.
    • Carrying out routine Turbine maintenance to maintain highest efficiency and reliability
    • Preparing the Turbine for statutory inspections as per OSHA requirements
    • Monitor power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems
    • Regulate equipment operations and conditions, such as water levels, based on instrument data or from computers
    • Make adjustments or minor repairs, such as tightening leaking gland and pipe joints
    • Record and compile operational data by completing and maintaining forms, logs, or reports
    • Receive outage calls and call in necessary personnel during power outages and emergencies
    • Take regulatory action, based on readings from charts, meters and gauges, at established intervals
    • Start or stop generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, turbines, or other power plant equipment as necessary
    • Inspect, trouble-shoot, and repair generators, auxiliary pumping equipment, turbines, or other power plant equipment as necessary
    • Control or maintain auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, feed water heaters, filters, or chlorinators, to supply water, fuel, lubricants, air, or auxiliary power
    • Clean, lubricate, or maintain equipment, such as generators, turbines, pumps, or compressors, to prevent failure or deterioration

    Minimum Requirements

    • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical)
    • 5 years of experience in steam turbines, mechanical problems, troubleshooting and repair preferably in Energy Generation Environment
    • Strong background in preventive/predictive and corrective maintenance.

    Forklift Operator

    Job Responsibilities

    • Servicing of heavy material handling equipment to specified standards
    • Ensure mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs are accurately and timeously completed.
    • Perform accurate diagnosis/troubleshooting in event of breakdown of equipment;
    • Accurate interpretation of hydraulic schematics and electrical diagrams
    • Ensure a safe work environment by verifying vehicle safety device operations
    • Performing daily equipment checks: recharging the truck’s battery, fueling and maintenance

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive/Plant Option)
    • Trade test certificate, Forklift / Diesel / Electrical
    • 3 -5 years’ experience in mechanical problems, troubleshooting and repair of forklifts and lifting devices
    • Must have a clean and valid driving license with 2 years of experience in driving.( class type BCE with forklift authorization)

    Civil Engineer

    Our client a group Manufacturing Group in East Africa is currently seeking to fill the role of a Civil Engineer.

    The Civil Engineer will provide leadership to the business through effective development and maintenance of the Permanent Way so as to ensure that safety, health and environmental protection are fully integrated.

    S/He will provide expertise on the design, planning and management of civil construction projects, covering all types of residential and commercial construction, particularly in the area of large, public infrastructure projects

    Key Roles:

    • Participate in the formulation of infrastructural plans, the setting of maintenance standards, specifications, procedures and policies, and ensure compliance and implementation.
    • Prepare engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
    • Ensure adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress; inspecting construction site; verifying calculations and placements.
    • Manage the maintenance and repair of the permanent way and monitoring progress during each phase of a project by enforcing project and operational policies and procedures to ensure maximum output, availability and reliability at minimum cost and in accordance with the laid down standards and objectives.
    • Develop new designs for infrastructure and provide professional guidance, manage new capital projects and ensure planning, designing and implementation is carried out within approved budgets, specifications and schedules.
    • Prepare engineering design by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data.
    • Ensure project feasibility through continual evaluation of structural integrity, design practicality, materials, costs and time requirements
    • Assessing the project sites, environmental impact and risks associated
    • Preparing bids for tenders, and reporting to clients, public agencies and planning bodies
    • Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
    • Making sure sites meet legal guidelines, and health and safety requirements.

    Minimum Requirements

    • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
    • 5 Years continuous experience in industrial Environment
    • Experience in civil work and steel structure work
    • Experience in drawing the layouts and flow charts in AutoCAD and other

    Our client a well-established group of companies offering renewable energy solutions in East Africa is currently seeking to hire Sales Representatives for its Kenyan Market.

    The successful candidate will be tasked with following;

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
    • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
    • Liaising with existing & new partners (eg, banks, micro-finance, Sacco etc) to assist in product promotion and selling.
