    Repair Technician

    Job Description

    Reports to: Repair Supervisor

    Location: Distribution Centre (Kisumu)

    Purpose: The repair technician will report to the Repair Supervisor and will be responsible for repair and refurbishment processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Repair and refurbish all BBOXX components/appliances
    • Escalate all unsolvable issues to product support
    • Follow BBOXX refurbishment processes
    • Maintain a clean and tidy working area
    • Use best practices in stock management
    • Accurately report of all repairs and refurbishments
    • Description of tasks:
    • Diagnose issues using flowcharts
    • Replace parts using standard workshop tools
    • Use online guides to assist with refurbishments
    • Use BBOXX specific tools to re-programme control units
    • Use BBOXX software to record repair and refurbishments
    • Record all spare parts used
    • Discuss issues with product support
    • Use a root cause analysis framework to communicate clearly
    • Regularly tidy the refurbishment area
    • Make suggestions for processes improvement
    • Share best practices on how to repair BBOXX products

    Qualification and Specifications:

    • Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
    • T2 Licence is an added advantage
    • Experience of 3 years in electronics repair (e.g. home appliances)
    • Problem solving skills and ability to understand new concepts
    • Proficiency in Microsoft software
    • Resilient to stress with a positive attitude
    • Honest and hardworking

    Logistics Officer (Warehousing)

    Job Description

    Reports to: Logistics Manager

    Location: Distribution Centre

    Purpose: To coordinate logistics at the Distribution Centre, documents, and other materials: overseeing the stock of all items to prevent stock-outs, and coordinating movements of stock in and out of the Distribution Centre

    Job’s Responsibilities

    • Analyze stock levels and needs to ensure consistent minimum stock levels are met at Distribution Centre both of products and other needed materials
    • Handle arrival of containers received from Asia
    • Arrange transfer of products between African countries
    • Dispose damaged stock
    • Maintain warehouse equipment and furniture

    Description of tasks

    • Check stock daily and weekly, with a complete periodic stock count.
    • Check type and quantity of products as they enter and leave the Distribution Centre
    • Coordinate with Logistics and Repair Manager to ensure supply of spare parts and products
    • Prepare a procurement work plan for the department to guide on purchase and provide periodic reports on purchases.
    • Activate products as needed for the logistics route
    • Assist in troubleshooting activation problems through escalation.
    • Provide feedback to Head of Logistics for improvements to processes and systems

    Person specification

    • Must have a university degree in Procurement and Supply Chain.
    • 3 years proven warehousing experience with value adding activities.
    • Familiar with various known WMS.
    • Excellent skills in preparing stock reports & procurement work plans.
    • Knowledge of shipping procedures/documentation is an added advantage.

    Driver

    Job Description

    Reports to: Logistics Manager

    Location: Distribution Center and in the field.

    Purpose: To ferry products, documents and other items between the Distribution Center and shops while keeping the fleet of BBOXX vehicles in good shape.

    Responsibilities

    Primary

    • Deliver products from the Distribution Center to shops based on presented schedule, on time and in good condition
    • Confirm issued products before loading trucks.
    • Supervise loading and offloading of trucks before a logistics route and after the logistics route
    • Ensure BBOXX-owned vehicles are kept in good repair
    • Deliver miscellaneous items to shops and back to Distribution Center as and when requested
    • Drive company staff when requested.

    Person Specification

    • Proven experience as a driver
    • Ability to multi-task, willingness to learn and a positive attitude
    • Should have a valid driving license
    • Free of any criminal record
    • Flexib in terms of working hours
    • Experience in handling deliveries

    Administrative Assistant

    Reports to: Logistics Manager

    Location: Distribution Centre

    Purpose: The main purpose of the Administrative Assistant is to ensure the accuracy of all contracts data and the appropriate documentation and storage thereof.

    Job’s Responsibilities

    • Scanning Contracts and uploading them onto ERP
    • Physical storage of contracts through applying the best filing methods.
    • Carry out weekly contract reconciliation comparing systems records and physical documents.
    • Addressing weekly gaps in contract reconciliation.
    • Escalate when necessary the variance during reconciliation
    • Prepare weekly reports on contract reconciliation

    Person specification

    • Have a university degree or Diploma in Library and Information Studies or relevant discipline (Business Administration, law, Human Resources, Commerce, Finance, accounting etc.).
    • Proven working experience in Legal Administration, Human Resources, or any other administrative work related departments.
    • Legal background is an added advantage but not necessary
    • Excellent command of the English language
    • Desired skills include:

    • Check type and quantity of products as they enter and leave the Distribution Centre
    • Calculate required deliveries to shops based on their existing stock levels and float
    • Coordinate with warehouse officer to ensure accurate supply of products to shops.
    • Respond to logistics queries and issues from shops.
    • Follow up on all customer repairs from shops
    • Manage logistics routes and ensure drivers adhere to planned schedule.
    • Provide feedback to Head of Logistics for improvements to processes and systems

    Person specification

    • Have a university degree in Procurement and Supply Chain or any other business-related course.
    • 2 years proven experience in a busy environment handling customers order.
    • Familiar with various known WMS & POS – stock order tools not necessarily products but also money.
    • Excellent skills in balancing orders.
    • Experience working with online retailers is an added advantage.
