    Business Operations Assistant

    Job Summary

    The Business Operations Assistant works with the company and departmental leadership team to ensure smooth daily operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring key administrative functions of the department are addressed proactively and professionally.
    The ideal candidate must be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills.

    Responsibilities


    The role will include a wide variety of day-to-day responsibilities such as:

    • Communication: Drafting and publicizing internal memos, notices, and policies as advised by the departmental head
    • Consumables Management: In liaison with procurement, manage the departmental material ordering process, proper storage of consumables and prudent issuance of the same.
    • Manpower supervision: Responsible for casual laborers PPE issuance, attendance monitoring, payment processing.
    • Meetings Coordination: Assigning meeting rooms to staff, provision of necessary materials, directing guests and where needed, taking detailed minutes and circulating as directed.
    • Reporting: Provision of well-drafted, formatted and presented reports when called upon to do so.
    • Records Management: Ensuring that documentation such as permits, licenses, OHS paperwork, and delivery notes are stored in an orderly and easily retrievable manner.
    • Liaison: Act as a link between the department and other internal departments like HR, Finance, Legal and Tech to support projects, provision of timely & accurate information and feedback.
    • Tasks Follow up; In support of departmental meetings, document and, follow up on the progress of weekly tasks, projects, and assignments to team members to a conclusion.
    • Stakeholder Management: Ensure that suppliers, visitors, and other external parties are professionally handled to maintain a longterm cordial relationship.
    • Performing other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in Administration or Business related field from a reputable university
    • 5 years of experience in administration or operations
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills ( i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint…)

    The ideal candidate has:

    • Experience managing projects and delivering successful outcomes
    • Ability to organize and manage processes with limited supervision and direction
    • Proven experience in interacting and working with executives

    Front Line Manager

    Job Summary

    Twiga Foods is looking to Front Line Managers who will be responsible for ensuring that their area meets targets, safeguarding all depot assets, leading and managing teams. To be successful for this role, you must be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, be attentive to details and able to manage work pressure and priorities

    Responsibilities

    • Achieving targets: By ensuring that all routes operating from the appointed depot/to the aggregation points are receiving/visiting the optimum number of vendors, continuously increasing drop size as well as increasing the number of vendors served in their routes.
    • Team Management: Providing leadership and guidance to the team of sales representatives/delivery partners, ensuring that they understand what their sales/delivery targets are, how to go about achieving that and the expected reward. In addition, disciplining those in the team who are not conducting themselves as per Twiga Foods guidelines.
    • Asset Management: Responsible for maintaining: delivery vehicles, depot premises, mobile handsets, crates, and any other assets as may be allocated to his/her depot or collection points.
    • Business Development: As an authority on his area, advise the business on the fastest route to market expansion as well as any operational changes that would positively impact sales in his/her area.
    • Relationship Management: Ensuring that vendors in his/her area served by Twiga Foods are satisfied by the quality of fresh fruits and vegetables we offer as well as the Twiga Foods delivery service. This is to be achieved by routinely visiting routes in his/her area to get a pulse of vendor satisfaction levels and addressing any issues that may arise.

    Trade Marketing Coordinator

    Job Summary

    The ideal candidate for this role will have experience leading, through market research and analysis, the development and implementation of product introduction and market penetration strategies; advice the planning around sourcing and pricing of the products therein, to accelerate growth in volume, revenue and profit contribution of FFV and FMCG products.
    They will work closely with the sales team to coordinate activities in the field and seek opportunities for the brand to be involved in strategic initiatives supporting sales.They will also advise on product diversification or divestiture decisions

    Responsibilities

    • Strategy: Contribute to the attainment of Twiga Food’s Limited vision, mission, and strategic aspirations by leading in the development and implementation of product strategies and corresponding value adds/propositions that differentiates us from other market players
    • Market Intelligence: Utilise the principles of consumer/ market insight for FFV and FMCG to gather and anticipate customer/competitive trends, assesses strategic implications and impact on the business potential to encourage a deeper understanding of customer motivations that will be applied to unlock growth in product delivery across the regions
    • Annual plans, Budgeting and Forecasts: Contribute to the development of annual sales and marketing plans to ensure that they are in line with overall company strategy and contribute to the preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly FMCG and FFV sales forecasts and cascading of sales quota to respective regions and areas
    • Sales Volumes and Revenues: Contribute to the execution of  the company-wide FMCG sales operations and support the execution of the approved market penetration strategies for FMCG products to ensure accelerated growth in volumes and market share while evaluating options for promotional activities and value adds to achieve optimal sales
    • Product Diversification or Divestiture: Support the Chief Commercial Officer and other key stakeholders in the decisions on the introduction or withdrawal of products/ produce range for distribution by executing research and collating market feedback to meet customer (and producers) needs; Work with the supply chain to identify grading and packaging improvement and develop introductory market programs for new products and/or new markets
    • Brand management:  In liaison with the Route to Customer Manager drive awareness of the corporate brand and sub-brand plans taking into consideration customer and market insights and product line marketing goals;
    • Stakeholder Relationship Management:  Establish and maintain good corporate   relationships with various industry and non-industry stakeholders to drive intelligence gathering and support optimal business planning and decision making
