    Digital Channels Tribe Lead

    We are pleased to announce the following opportunity in the Digital Channels Tribe within the Consumer Business Unit. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for persons who meets the criteria indicated below.

    Reporting to the Director-Consumer Business Unit, the position holder will develop, evolve and deliver engaging digital experiences for Safaricom Consumers; Define, own, deliver, and evolve Safaricom’s strategy and execution around App and Web; Acquire customers through digital channels and increase digital channels penetration, experience and grow end to end digital contacts.

    Key Responsibilities

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Job Requirements

    • BSC. in Computer science, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent practical experience
    • 1 – 2 years data science working experience and with a leadership role.
    • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests
    • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab
    • Experience with data visualization tools, such as D3.js, GGplot
    • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase
    • Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression
    • Good scripting and programming skills
    • Good understanding of big data technologies like Hadoop

    Manager-Access Network Quality Assurance, Benchmarking and Reporting

    Reporting to the Senior Manager-Network Quality Assurance, the individual serves to provide independent assurance to the business on Quality of Access networks to ensure achievement and sustainability of superior network experience for GSM services (Voice, Data, SMS) on all network sites (2G/3G/LTE)

    Job Responsibilities

    • Daily Access Network performance monitoring & Reporting.
    • Formulate, coordinate and drive plans geared towards achievement and sustainability of superior Network Experience.
    • Network quality tests and revenue analysis on Access network elements (Radio network) and relate to NPS & potential revenue loss
    • Network integrity drive tests to ensure customer KPI’s and revenue KPI’s are met.

    Principal Engineer - VAS & Internal IT Services Assurance

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop KPIs to monitor and assess service uptime and availability of key internal systems.
    • Establish independent Service Quality Metrics for service availability, monitoring and reporting
    • Monitor system performance of key IT systems along the revenue path and relate to potential revenue loss/Customer experience
    • Review critical interfaces within the network and evaluate integrity of the endpoints between the core systems.
