    BSS Engineer

    Job Details

    We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Regional Network Implementation and Operations (RNIO) Dept within the Technology Division. In keeping with our current business needs, We are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below;

    Reporting to the Team Manager, Regional Network Operations. The position holder will be responsible for Network elements fault clearance to ensure availability of 99.99%, SUR of less than 15 min per week, average NUR of less than 10min per week , and proper preventive maintenance of the BSS network, transmission equipment’s and the related power supply in owned sites.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Define and maintain a supplier and technology strategy for the OSS and QC systems;
    • Network element fault clearance.
    • Perform proper preventive maintenance of all network elements and document results for owned sites on a monthly basis.
    • Ensure proper site acceptance.
    • Ensure proper contractors control.
    • Proper works Orders execution.
    • Proper use of defined processes and procedures in daily work
    • Conduct risk assessments at agreed intervals across information processing sites
    • Fault clearance measured by “Remedy” reporting tools:

     

    • 30min - Critical faults
    • 60min - Major faults
    • 4 hours - Minor or non-service affecting faults.
    • Eliminate all repeat failures within the allocated cluster

     

    • 100% of all owned sites attended to for routine maintenance and all elements deteriorated worked on and results documented on a monthly basis in the FO PM DB.
    • Weekly reporting on all sites visited for PM and issues identified
    • Eliminate all repeat failures by ensuring
    • Newly accepted sites to be 100% functional.
    • All ENVA alarms connected

    Job Requirement

    • Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (or related technical field) from are recognized university / institution with a bias in Telecomm with at least 2 years’ experience in GSM or related field.
    • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
    • Valid driving license with AA certification

    Program Manager

    Department Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager PMO, the position holder will coordinate and manage the delivery of Complex Information, Communications and Technology solutions for Safaricom projects. This role will be responsible for kick off, execution, implementation and closure of Sprints, Projects and Programs.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
    • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
    • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
    • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
    • Report and escalate to management as needed
    • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
    • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
    • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
    • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

    Job Requirement

    • Bachelor’s degree with a technical discipline or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical program/project management in a consumer electronics environment
    • Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new features sets.
    • Experience analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection
    • Demonstrable experience in project management
    • Certification in project management e.g. PRINCE 2/ PMP/SCRUM.

    Vendor Operations Lead

    We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the E-commerce-Masoko Department within the Enterprise Business Unit. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

    Reporting to the Head of Department-Masoko, the position holder will lead the identification, on-boarding and management of vendors on Masoko to support the Commercial strategy and ensures that the vendors deliver consistently against agreed upon SLA’s to contribute towards a great experience for the customers and provide a compelling channel for vendors to sell on.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own all Acquisition campaigns, processes & activation activities to drive product variety and interest in the site.
    • Be an expert on development of long and short-range strategic Vendor acquisition and retention plans for the company’s growth
    • Maintaining strong relations and follow ups with key partner’s/merchants including terms and conditions, pricing, settlements, negotiations, discounts, quality inspections.
    • Work hand in hand with the e-commerce content team and Technology where appropriate to deliver market and seamless leading user experience.
    • Undertake merchant/ customer training as may be appropriate.
    • Ensure all merchants are selected & on boarded in line with laid down guidelines.
    • Stay up-to-date in digital technologies and marketing trends & use the same to drive our acquisition strategy.
    • Consistently develop & manage merchant/Partner portfolio pipeline & manage the negotiations, discounts ecosystem.
    • Coach & develop the team for optimal productivity and performance.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Sales experience
    • 5-6 years Leadership experience, with exposure in an E-Commerce role
    • Proven track record of growing a start-up from the ground up.
    • Demonstrated and proven experience in vendor acquisition strategies
    • Being an Agile Coach will be an added advantage

    Vendor Acquisition Specialist

    We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the E-commerce-Masoko Department within the Enterprise Business Unit. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

    Reporting to the Key Account Manager, the position holder will be the First Point of Contact for Vendors with a sole purpose of selling them our business Value proposition with an aim of enlisting the vendor as a seller on Masoko.

    The E-Commerce Vendor Acquisition Specialist will develop relationships with new businesses and brands, and onboard them onto our e-commerce site, which will make immediate contributions to our rapidly growing business; the individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new vendors are fully on-boarded at the best in class speed. He/she will assess new vendor opportunities through various mediums and manage the on boarding process end to end; the person will also serve as a key customer and category advocate, serving on cross-functional teams tasked with driving initiatives and process change to continually improve the on boarding process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, prospect, and recruit vendors to Masoko by calling, emailing or attending meetings, commercial events and trade fairs and explaining the benefits of a retail relationship with Masoko.
    • Be a business consultant to new vendors providing insights and advice, with the ability to interact with different business profiles and sectors.
    • Help new vendors master Masoko’s tools and systems so that they can be self-sufficient and integrate their products to Masoko’s platform efficiently and to the standard required.
    • Help improve business processes and make us more effective in supporting our vendors.
    • Provide administrative support in Activating & support to newly recruited merchants and ensure a proper handover to relevant teams post onboarding.
    • Ensure prompt & efficient set up of acquired/new Merchant outlets and business Partners
    • Consistently develop & manage vendor portfolio pipeline, negotiations, and ecosystem focused on key events across the year.
    • Ensure all vendors are selected & on-boarded in line with laid down minimum standards.
    • Continuously meet set Vendor acquisition targets for sectors managed.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and on request analytic Merchant registration reports and pipeline updates for the department as requested.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Minimum of 3 years sales experience
    • Proven track record of consistent account growth and exceeding sales goals
    • Proven track record of managing and driving growth of enterprise accounts
    • Demonstrated negotiation skills
    • Experience in E-commerce vendor acquisition will be an added advantage
