    Trainer

    Education: The Trainer shall have completed a secondary education, poly technical school, National Diploma, or Associate degree, and have experience in training on a range of security-related skills along with a verified record of proven reliability and good conduct to minimize personnel and staffing issues.

     

    Experience:

     

    The Trainer shall have a minimum of ten (10) years police, military, security, or local guard force management experience with a minimum of five (5) years of the work experience being in training. Experience with risk management including problem identification and problem solving is highly recommended. On a daily basis, the Trainer will analyze the operational security skills of the guards to ensure the guard force possesses the skills and knowledge in countermeasures are commensurate with the overall threat to U.S. personnel and the Mission. The Trainer shall be able to teach course(s) consistent with DOS standards.

     

    The Trainer shall have the following qualifications and to perform supervisory duties that include:

     

    • Be a citizen of the host country, or a third country national in possession of a valid work visa;
    • Speak the local language(s);
    • Possess English speaking/reading skill level S4/R4;
    • Able to use a computer including all common office management tools (e.g. Microsoft Office);
    • Experience with multiple levels of communication between various levels of management;
    • Experience managing security staff or local guard force management experience;
    • Be an expert in all areas of physical security and access control; and,
    • Be an expert at developing training curriculum
    • Complete the contract required supervisor course
    • If applicable, complete and maintain firearms training and certification in accordance with local labor law and the requirements of the contract.

     

    The Trainer shall provide the COR with a monthly training schedule that includes the type and duration of all training classes scheduled for the month. The Trainer plans, coordinates, and conducts training for all guard personnel including 80 hours basic training course, specialized training, 16 hours of refresher training, and ad hoc training/drills.
