    CTO

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    You will be a C-­level member of REFUNITE’s executive team and will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and managing a team of top quality engineers and maintaining the highest quality of software engineering practices. Reporting to REFUNITE’s COO, you will work closely with REFUNITE’s other executives to take end­user facing products and innovations from pilot to scale while relentlessly automating operational processes and managing business technology systems to drive efficiency and performance. 

    You will provide guidance, oversight and mentorship to our engineering and product managers to ensure that our products and processes are extensible and efficiently scalable on our platform while maintaining stability and security.

    Coming into a small organization with a current team of 8 developers, as CTO you will also be acting as Head of Engineering. Your role will include the following aspects: 

    • Leading technology decisions and architectural design
    • Assessing technological/technical risk and opportunity
    • Leading Innovation/creating IP
    • Leading the engineering team and development process
    • Planning, Executing, Reviewing and Assuring the quality of REFUNITE’s Product Roadmap (Lean/Agile way)
    • Spearheading an agile and lean engineering culture with an eye toward customer happiness
    • Building a great engineering team
    • As an external facing Technologist, evangelizing technology at conferences and with universities
    • Working with the other executives to define the roadmap, marketing and other strategic aspects of REFUNITE. 

    Success for this role will be measured by

    • Growing a highly performing and highly collaborative development team.
    • Driving rapid feature iteration within products utilizing A/B tests and usage data.
    • Full automation of core operational processes and workflows.
    • Ensuring a continuous flow of communication and collaboration between engineering teams and the rest of the organization.
