Android Developer Intern at Vantage Systems

Role

1. Solutions analysis, design, customization, implementation, upgrades and maintenance of the core Android App as well as other software systems in use by the company, in line with approved user requirements and various business units’ needs.
2. Research and perform systems integration solutions between ERP’S and other required business systems for the company.
3. Perform routine database maintenance and other business continuity procedures.
4. Perform routine end-user support and training on key business systems.
5. Perform any other ICT related tasks as may be directed by management from time to time.

The successful candidates should have the following attributes:-

6. Android –Strong OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
7. Familiar with the Android SDK
8. Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
9. Familiar with Eclipse
10. Common – Understanding of other compiled languages
11. Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
12. Experience of development using web technologies
13. Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns
14. Good understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and PHP
15. Experience building web and native apps
16. Experience using social media APIs
17. Ads integration using a 3rd party ad server (DART)
18. Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
19. Strong team player and ready to learn.
20. Ability to work with minimum supervision.
