Licensing & Approvals Intern at Capital Markets Authority (CMA)

Reporting to the Senior Officer, Licensing & Approvalsthe selected candidate will be responsible for;

1. Conducting fit and proper assessments for key personnel of market intermediaries
2. Carrying out preliminary review of applications for the issue of Debt and Equity securities such as corporate bonds
3. Carrying out preliminary review of license applications
4. Conducting research and preparing legal briefs and opinions
5. Providing logistical support to the licensing and approvals section
6. Undertake other assignments as assigned from time to time

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B), Criminology or Accounting
2. Kenya School of Law student

Key skills, Knowledge & Competencies

1. Good communication skills and teamwork;
2. Proficiency in standard office IT application packagers as well as e-mail and internet
