Roles for the Truck Driver Job

• Transport goods over land to and from loading point to destination / retail and distribution centers
• Ensure transport and product documentation is dully filled and submitted
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or offloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
• Observe HSE Code ad stipulated by the company policy & ensure that trucks are clean at all times

Truck Driver Job Requirements

• KCSE certificate
• Valid Driving License with at least 5 years long distance driving experience; Those with experience driving Mercedes benz- Actros 3340 preferred .
• Flexible and able to deliver products to any region assigned including congo & Rwanda
• Must possess a training certificate from DT dobie that is not older than 3 years
• Possess defensive driving training certificate of not more than 2 years old
• Age limit 30-50 years
