    Business Development Manager

    Overall Purpose of the role:

    The role holder will be responsible for building the organization’s market position by locating, developing, negotiating and closing business as well as establishing and maintaining client relationship.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Driving sales targets – prospect for potential new clients, their decision makers and turn this into business deals;
    • Developing route to market and commercial sales strategies and spearhead implementation of these strategies;
    • Preparing weekly, monthly and annual demands forecasts & sales plans as well as projecting expected sales volumes and profits for new and existing clients;
    • Undertaking regular market intelligence on sales volume, market share and competitors;
    • Undertaking analysis of sales trends and advice management on strategies and approach to enable attainment of set objectives and development of unique selling propositions;
    • Establishing and maintain effective relationships with new and existing clients;
    • Undertake business development activities from lead generation to deals closure in line with set targets;
    • Enhancing Profitability by ensuring that there is financial viability through maintaining and/or increasing profit margins;
    • Develop propositions, presentations and reports, as required by the Senior Management Team.

    Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business related field of study;
    • At least 4-7 years’ experience in a sales/BD position;
    • A proven track record of driving sales and winning business;
    • Understanding of the staff outsourcing business;
    • Sales Savvy/Business Development;
    • Strategic Thinking & Drive for Execution;
    • Stakeholder Management;
    • Proactivity, team player and demonstrated people development skills;
    • Experience in Sales/BDM/Key Account Management in the commercial and finance sectors will be an added advantage.
