    Website, UX & UI Designer

    We are looking for a talented Designer / UI expert to drive cutting-edge designs, UX on our website and in our activities online. The successful candidate will take the graphic and user interface of our website to the next level and beyond. We want to talk to you if your portfolio includes clean, modern, responsive websites with outstanding and bullet-proof navigational structures.     About The Ux/Ui Team

    UX/UI Designers at ALU work to facilitate this transition by building responsive technology to communicate with stakeholders and hear from them in a seamless way. The UX and UI team will support the design and integration of the different marketing components of the user experience to all the different key stakeholders of ALU by providing user perspectives, prototypes/mock-ups, design frameworks, processes, and best practices to the various teams. The team will also be in charge of evaluating whether ALU is delivering on its promise by tracking the performance and reception of its various products and initiatives. In addition, the team manages the ALU website ensuring its up to date will information related to ALU that will be valuable to key stakeholders.

    About The Role

    The role reports to the VP of Marketing, and entails the strategy and management of web design, including UX and UI management. More specifically your responsibilities will include:
    • Driving our visual identity across all online channels
    • Participating, implementing and managing effective UX and UI strategies
    • Supporting the onboarding of new user journey tools and processes
    • Creating prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps and mock-ups to communicate interaction and design ideas
    • Conceptualising original website design and UX ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex tasks
    • Executing visual design stages from concept to implementation within Wordpress
    • Overseeing, testing and optimising materials for optimum user flow on our website
    • Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices and standards
    • Creating PSDs for visual layout of web pages and convert each design into HTML and CSS
    • Maintaining and updating all JQuery plugins for website
    • Tracking on-site KPIs (e.g. user-flows, conversions) in order to manage site performance
    • Keeping abreast of the latest designs and UX trends
    Requirements
    • BS, MS or BA in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or a Visual Arts, Marketing or Business
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience, or equivalent expertise in Design, UX and UI
    • Demonstrable visual and graphic design skills with a clear understanding of the importance of user-centred design and design thinking
    • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
    • A solid grasp of user-centred design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns
    • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and sitemaps
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to build and generate reports on UX performance
    • Process-driven but yet flexible, creative with the ability to drive projects independently based on briefs
    • Experience working in an agile company environment where employees are expected to lead from the front with integrity
    • Ability to perform under pressure and cope with tight deadlines
    • Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong passion to succeed, contagious energy and desire to have fun in the process
