    The University of Embu (UoEm) was established as a Constituent College of the University of Nairobi via a Legal Notice No. 65 of 17th June, 2011 by His Excellency the President. EUC is the successor of the former Embu Agricultural Staff Training (EAST) College which started in 1947 as an agricultural training school and was later renamed Embu Institute of Agriculture in 1968. In 1990, it was upgraded to be Embu Agricultural Staff Training (EAST) College whose mandate was to develop and implement short management and technical courses, and offer research and consultancy services to enhance performance in the agricultural sector.

    Internship and Attachment Vacancies

    In this regard, the University wishes to announce vacancies in its internship and attachment programme for the year 2019/2020 in the following areas:

    1. General administration
    2. Procurement
    3. Health services
    4. Science and Agricultural Laboratories
    5. Catering and Accommodation
    6. Farm
    7. Library
    8. Maintenance 
    9. Finance

    Qualifications

    Applications are, therefore, invited from recent Bachelor’s degree or Diploma holders from universities or tertiary institutions for internship programme. In addition the applicants should;

    • Have good written and verbal communication skills;
    • Have working knowledge of computer applications;
    • Be persons of high integrity; and
    • Be prepared to obtain personal accident insurance cover once offered the opportunity.

    Method of Application

    Send their application, indicating their programme of interest i.e Internship or Attachment, accompanied by the Curriculum Vitae, copies of academic certificates and national identity card.
