Cross-Functional & Technical Competencies

Business Management:

• Operations Management: Ability to effectively plan, organize and oversee the Organization’s business process in order to convert its assets into the best results in the most efficient manner. Knowledge of relevant concepts and mechanisms;
• Customer satisfaction/ Client Management: Ability to respond timely and appropriately with a sense of urgency, provide consistent solutions and deliver timely and quality results and or solutions to fulfil and understand the real customer needs;
• Communication: Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and unambiguous manner both through written and verbal communication; to tailor messages and chose communication methods depending on the audience;
• Digital awareness and literacy: Ability and inclination to rapidly adopt new technologies, either through skillfully grasping their usage or through understanding their impact and empowering others to use them as needed;
• Working with evidence and data: Ability to inspect, cleanse, transform and model data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making;
• Evaluation Ability to make an independent judgement based on set criteria and benchmarks – Ability to anticipate client’s needs and concerns.

Business Development:

• Knowledge Facilitation: Ability to animate individuals and communities of contributions to participate and share, particularly externally.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

• Secondary education. Certification in Administration or related field is desirable but not a requirement.

Experience:

• 4 years of relevant work experience in office support functions;
• Experience with UN or other international organization will be an added advantage;
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.);
• Experience in handling of web-based management system.

Language

•  Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is highly desirable.
