Bachelor of Education, or Bachelor of Arts or Sciences with a Post graduate diploma in Education
or Bachelor of Education Technology from a recognized institution
Must have served at least 3 years at the level of Principal Quality Assurance and Special Education

Job Description
Quality Assurance and Standards Assessment of Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) and the Vocational Education and Training (VTCs)
Co-ordinating, organizing and implementing co-curricular activities at the County, National and International levels
Liaison with KNEC on assessment of ECDs, VTCs and Teacher Education
Policy formulation and implementation on matters related to Quality Assurance
Developing assessment standards
Overseeing the implementation of Pre-primary Education curriculum
Planning and forecasting teaching establishment for the Early Childhood Development Education Centres (ECDs) and Vocational Training Centres (VTCs)
Coordinating of appointments and deployment of teachers/trainers/caregivers in the ECDs and VTCs
Ensuring quality in the Teacher Management Centres
Development, Management and maintenance of Child Care Facilities
Coordinating with TSC and Ministry of Education, National Government
Management and supervising co-curricular activities for ECDs and VTCs
Planning and organizing in-service courses, seminars and workshops of ECDE teachers and BOMs
Management, supervision and coordination of School Feeding Programme and health
Supporting ECD teachers in Assessing/recommending for the assessment of learners’ skills to determine their educational needs
Supporting the adaptation of curriculum and teaching/learning materials in the ECDs and VTCs to meet learners’ needs
Supervising and mentoring ECD teachers and VTC trainers who work with learners with disabilities.
Promoting, supporting and monitoring implementation of National and County policies and strategies in County and non-county ECDs and VTCs
Evaluating and ensuring quality and standards of educational leadership and management as well as teaching and learning in the ECDs and VTCs
Conducting reviews in the ECDs and VTCs to look into the quality of learning and teaching as well as educational leadership highlighting the strengths of the institutions as well as areas which need improvement
Coordinating co-curricular activities
Coordinating and monitoring of construction of ECDs and VTCs in liaison with other relevant departments/sectors
Inspecting news ECDs and VTCs prior to registration
Coordinating labour relations with NCCG Teachers and Teachers Unions/ Association
