Under the guidance and direct supervision of the line manager and the Operations Director, the candidate shall support Information Security, IT Service and Privacy management systems’ projects implementation and related activities.
Responsibilities
The candidate is expected to have meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, superior communication skills, a great understanding of Information Security, IT Service delivery & Privacy processes, documentation and reporting.
To ensure success, the individual must be capable of maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information while working with a variety of technologies, security problems and developing strategic solutions. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to take on-the-job training and be self driven.
The successful candidate shall be tasked with the following responsibilities:
- Develop a strong understanding of business and system processes.
- Examine IT processes and controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk and recommend remediation strategies
- Conduct efficient and effective IT process reviews
- Perform documentation reviews and provide recommendations.
- Provide recommendations and guidance on identified security. privacy and control risks.
- Advisory on information security, privacy and related IT service management controls
- Work closely with other staff to develop and prepare presentations as and when required,
- Communicate technical issues in simplified terms to the clients, management and relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in research activities and collecting data about issues related to information security, IT service management, Privacy and Data Protection etc.
- Support the team to prepare reports on activities such as status updates, reports, meeting minutes etc.
- Participate in meetings or brain storming forums inside and outside of the Operations Team
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Academic Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Applied Information Technology, Information Systems and technology; GPA 3.4+ or equivalent (Major in information security an advantage)
- 1 year of experience in a similar role in information security, IT Support, IT Service delivery or similar role
- CISA Certification, preferred
- ITIL Certification, required
- CISSP, CISM, MCSE, COBiT 2019, TOGAF, NIST-CSF an added advantage
- Clear understanding of information security
- Clear understanding of IT Service Management
- Clear understanding of Privacy
- Familiar with IT Frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST-CSF, ISO 27701, ISO 27032, ISO 20000, ITIL etc.
- Familiar with a range of software and hardware
- Prior training experience is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Have proven interpersonal skills and team work
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel
