Job Description

The Company is recruiting for a Business Development Manager who will be based at its Head Office in Madison House, Nairobi. Qualified candidates applying for the position are requested to have the following qualifications and experience and to demonstrate they possess the capability to manage the key responsibilities:

Qualifications and Experience

1. A Bachelor’s degree in business management; preference will be given to MBA degree holders with specialization in marketing or strategic management.
2. Professional qualification in marketing will be an added advantage.
3. Considerable knowledge of the insurance industry.
4. Several years of experience in sales and marketing were gained preferably in the insurance industry.
5. Analytical capability, especially in the preparation of product and market strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for the position are as follows:

1. Review and analysis of the insurance market in Kenya.
2. Market segmentation and product distribution.
3. Pursuit of market development opportunities.
4. Formulation of product and market development strategies.
5. Participate and report on the process of Company strategy implementation.
6. Initiate partnerships with businesses, institutions, and professional associations.
7. Work closely with the Company’s Business Units with regard to product review and product development.
8. Participate in the design and implementation of product promotion and advertising activities.
