Overall duties and responsibilities of the Board.

• Ensure proper and efficient exercise of the powers and performance of the functions of the Corporation;
• Advise the management of the Corporation generally on the exercise of the powers and the performance of the functions of the corporation;
• Approve the estimates of the revenue and expenditure of the Corporation; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and key competencies
For appointment to this position, the candidate must:

• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Be in possession of a first degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
• Holds a Master’s degree in economics, business, law, finance, accounting or any other related field from a recognized university;
• Has experience of at least ten (10) years in senior level management in public or private sector;
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on leadership and integrity;
• Have demonstrated professional competence and managerial capabilities;
• Be visionary and strategic in approach;
• Be a team player with ability to network; and
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
