Duties and Responsibilities

• An Officer at this level may be deployed in specific projects areas as crop production, Land development or Project management.
• The Officer may also be assigned a supervisory role over a number of Agricultural Assistants deployed I working units and/or projects. Specific duties will involve organizing and coordinating agricultural activities in the area of deployment.

Requirement for appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Served in the grade of senior agricultural assistant or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service for at least three (3) years;
• Attended a departmental training course in participatory approaches or supervision; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
