A Bit About The Role

The Chief Finance Officer will join the companys team to lead the finance strategy, create effective risk management strategies and plan the companys financial strategy. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader, well-versed in all aspects of financial management, ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and fundraising operations. This role aims to protect the companys revenues and profits, gaining complete financial control for sustainable growth.

Requirements
Your daily adventures include:

• Serve as a strategic partner to the founders to formulate short and long-term financial plans in accordance with organisational-level strategies and goals
• Engage with strategic partners and represent the company in financial and business conversations
• Provide financial analysis across all functions of the organisation and provide advice to support financial modelling
• Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Control and evaluate the organisations fundraising plans and capital structure
• Develop financial models, business cases and pricing structures performed through data analysis models
• Participate in finance policy development and lead company education related to all financial matters
• Perform risk management by analysing the organisations liabilities
• Establish contingency plans and reserves used in case of changes in funding due to internal and external factors
• Oversee and determine the capital structure of the company
• Ensure the risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational
• Take ownership of finance and accounting operations by providing oversight of the finance and accounting team, helping to streamline, automate and enhance financial processes
• Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
• Establish and develop relations with internal and external partners and stakeholders to enhance cash flows and payment processes throughout the organisation
• Set finance performance objectives and goals and continuously monitor progress towards strategic objectives, ensuring that finance strategy is well communicated and understood at all levels
• Monitor budgets to ensure targeted and effective use of allocated resources and avoid any budget deficits or misuse
• Lead cash management and taxation activities and ensure financial obligations are met by following the company policies and procedures
• Enforce sound business and financial system policies, procedures and internal controls, ensuring the accuracy of accounting and financial procedures while remaining compliant with global best practices and requirements as we scale
• Lead the company cost accounting, including collections, payments processing, etc., in line with policies and procedures
• Mentor and develop your team using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives and goals, establish priorities, and monitor and evaluate results
• Serve as the liaison to third-party firms for audits, tax preparation, and other projects

What It Takes To Succeed

• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; Chartered accountant; Masters holder. MBA will be highly attractive
• Proven experience as CFO for 4+ Years or a relevant leadership role
• Able to present operational and financial results in a clear format and have experience in presenting to Executive Management, Investors or Board Level
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Xero etc.)
