    Role Objective

    • Our client, a respected mid-sized law firm in Nairobi with a well-established practice in commercial and property law, seeks to hire a dynamic Advocate to strengthen its growing legal team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing conveyancing transactions, advising clients on real estate matters, and supporting a broad range of commercial legal assignments.

    Core Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion. 
    • Draft, review, and negotiate conveyancing documents and property-related legal instruments. 
    • Prepare agreements for sale, leases, transfers, and completion documents. 
    • Conduct due diligence on property transactions and prepare supporting legal documentation. 
    • Coordinate property registration processes and ensure compliance with land regulations. 
    • Liaise with the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning, land registries, and survey offices to facilitate approvals and registrations. 
    • Draft and review commercial agreements and contracts. 
    • Prepare securities and related transactional documentation. 
    • Provide legal opinions and advisory services on commercial and real estate matters. 
    • Ensure transactions comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements. 
    • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and stakeholders. 
    • Work closely with lenders, valuers, property agents, and surveyors to ensure smooth transaction execution. 
    • Provide timely legal support and client updates. 
    • Assist with additional legal assignments as may be required by the firm.

      Job Specifications and Qualifications

    • Minimum of two (2) years post-admission experience within a busy legal practice environment.
    • Must possess a valid practicing certificate.
    • An upper 2nd Bachelors of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
