    Community Partnerships

    What You'll Do

Build partnerships: Map, engage, partner, and maintain collaborative and mutually-beneficial relationships with networks of youth-led and youth-focused organizations across our program's footprint.

    •  Lead community mapping of key partners with a focus on youth-led and youth-focused organizations.
    •  Conduct capacity assessments to identify needs of selected partner organizations and provide appropriate support to ensure their success.
    •  Map out key community stakeholders and secure their ongoing participation in program delivery.
    •  Lead community entry and engagement to expand the program in new locations.
    •  Manage ongoing relationships with these partners, maintain a high level of engagement and performance, ensure the program is positively impacting their own work and goals, and empower the best partners to carry this work forward long-term.
    •  Coordinate community resources in designated geographies of operation - for example by linking CHVs, peer mentors, and local health facilities and their staff to young people seeking care - so that patients, health system players, AMPATH, and others can have better local networks of support.

Plan and Host Community Events on SRH and HIV: Jointly plan and execute high-impact, high-frequency events in partnership with youth-led and youth-focused organizations to bring SRH services directly to young people.

    •  Plan community events and integrate program events into partners' event calendars, working closely with event planners to ensure Zipline's program goals are achieved with each engagement.
    •  Mobilize partners and young people to engage in health events through outreach, education, digital communications, and other relevant strategies
    •  Integrate the program's demand creation activities into the MOH community strategy to synchronize the ministry and program goals.
    •  Educate key community and partner stakeholders on Zipline program delivery to enhance ownership and support for the program goals.
    •  Facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities and community level engagements.
    •  Develop strong community-clinic linkages through engaging and maintaining relationships with health facilities to ensure their optimal delivery of health services at the community level.

Create Impact & Drive Continuous Improvement: Monitor the performance of partners and the impact of their contributions to the program, prioritizing the scale-up of the highest-impact partnerships and eliminating low-impact engagements.

    • Support the development of integrated monitoring plans in assigned areas with area stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure client referral and linkage for services is optimal.
    • Participate in planning and budgeting, preparation of work plans, implementation of planned activities, and monitoring/reporting of progress.
    • Contribute to enhancement of program design through continuously collecting user/customer feedback and proposing key upgrades.
    • Support the collection and documentation of impact and success stories on a monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual basis.
    • Support research activities within the program.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of government, private sector, implementing partners, and donors.

    What You'll Bring

    • You have at least 5 years of stakeholder engagement and community demand creation role with demonstrated contribution to program deliverables.

    • You must be eligible to work in Kenya
    • Experience working with communities in the North Rift and/or Western Region will be an added advantage.
    • This position is based in Eldoret, Kenya
