Driver at Mirema School

• We are Christian school in the education sector seeking a competent Driver who will be responsible for picking up learners as advised on established routes and dropping them off at school and designated homes. Ensure that there is a safe environment within the bus by obeying, and enforcing all laws, regulations, and rules of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Transporting learners to and from school, to school activities and school trips.
• Reporting delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or other methods of communication.
• Complying with traffic regulations to operate vehicles safely and courteously. (Observing speed limits and obeying road signs).
• Following safety rules as learners are boarding and exiting buses, and as they cross streets near bus stops.
• Picking up and dropping off learners at regularly scheduled neighborhood locations, following strict time schedules.
• Ensure safety in driving by avoiding dents, scratches, and any accident towards the bus/van, and if liable, the driver will be held accountable.
• Accommodating special needs learners by helping them get on and off the vehicle with equipment like a wheelchair, walker, or arm and leg braces among others.

Requirements

• Valid Driving License
• Valid PSV Badge
• Valid certificate of good conduct
• 4 years' relevant experience
• Computer Skills
• Excellent Customer care skills
