    Head of Commercial

    Leadership & People Development:

    • Lead by example, providing guidance on activity, metrics, coaching, and revenue generation to forge an unstoppable team
    • Share your teams triumphs and opportunities with management to keep everyone aligned and focused on our grand vision
    • Coach leaders around activity, metrics, coaching, and driving revenue from new business and post-sale accounts
    • Meet and exceed quarterly sales team quotas by holding your team accountable for activities that lead to revenue generation
    • Own and take responsibility for Sales Operations, Sales Administration, Sales Commercials & Analytics, customer care operations and VIP team deliverables

    Strategy and Execution:

    • Unleash your strategic brilliance as you develop and implement sales strategies that lead the company to victory, achieving remarkable revenue goals and profitability
    • Youll have the chance to identify financial opportunities, analyse market trends, and craft action plans that conquer any business challenge in their path

    Financial Planning and Analysis:

    • Take charge of forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets, providing invaluable insights to our client’s sales leadership.
    • Your market research and trend analysis will be the compass guiding the company to untapped opportunities and future triumphs
    • Analyse sales reports and make strategic recommendations to unleash the full potential of the brands presence
    • Consult and collaborate with key stakeholders on budget allocation, ensuring investments drive the most exceptional ROI
    • Harness your powers to understand merchant behaviours and devise innovative ideas for deeper, more meaningful connections with cherished merchants

    Merchant Operations:

    • Experience the thrill of service excellence as you become the voice of merchants, ensuring their every need is met with unparalleled support and care
    • Craft a meticulously designed playbook that empowers customer-facing teams to deliver outstanding experiences at every touchpoint
    • Master the art of merchant segmentation, tailoring the approach to different businesses and stages of their journey

    Requirements

    What it takes to succeed:

    • Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant field
    • 10+ years in sales, commercial, and leadership roles, across the African region, with a proven track record in achieving set targets and growing business
    • Experience working in a high-growth environment
    • A clear understanding of the Fintech space in Africa or other regions – a banking background would be an advantage
    • Experience across multiple countries in Africa in sales for a large-scale and medium-scale business
    • Experience in large, consultative sales for complex services or products
    • Experience in leading through the entire business development process, from "door opening" to contract negotiations
    • Politically savvy and ability to understand how the sales process intersects with existing political situations and dynamics
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish
    • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
