    Head of Marketing

    Role Profile

    The Head of Marketing has the ultimate responsibility of marketing and communication within and across the different operations. The role is tasked with building the Kyosk brand from scratch with its array of products and services. And importantly leading & articulating the Kyosk brand positioning & marketing, PR, Digital and communication strategy to both internal and external stakeholders. Provides functional advice to Global office and Country Managing Directors on strategic marketing and positioning issues relating to brand Kyosk, with emphasis on marketing, digital and communication performance against agreed objectives. And may be called upon to be a spokesperson for the company.

    To direct, control, motivate and build capacity for the in-country marketing teams to achieve agreed country specific marketing and communication targets.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leadership Responsibilities and Decision Making Rights:  The job holder is part of the Kyosk Leadership team, and plays a key role in the functional/departmental leadership agenda. The role will have line management responsibility for in country Marketing Managers and will be required to coach and develop the team. Provide leadership in building country specific PR, marketing and communication plans and ensure they are linked to the overall global strategy.
    • Lead the development and oversee the public relations, communication and marketing as well as digital marketing efforts geared to promoting Kyosk as a brand and subsequently business growth, increased customer & stakeholder engagements.
    • Promote Kyosk product & service portfolio through optimizing online, BTL & ATL presence, as well as defining and delivering visual appeal and compelling content towards achieving business set targets and Kyosk conversion goals. 
    • Direct and drive Kyosk brand & PR positioning campaigns by ensuring that it is consistent, distinctive in line with Kyosk ambitions including driving publicity, creating and champion presence of Kyosk at tech led conferences/events-deliver, reach impact and engagement within industry relevant channels.
    • Partner with the commercial team, Global strategy and data to develop deep understanding of the Dukas in order to define persuasive communication tools, collateral materials and experiential platforms to unlock growth.
    • Embed Kyosk’s entrepreneurial spirit, Kyosk culture, vision and mission within the organization as a member of the extended leadership team, through working closely with Group CEO, leadership team, Managing Directors and extended leadership teams.
    • Manage the client/agency relations-PR/Media/BTL and ensure that the agencies deliver best in class output and value for money.
    • Define Kyosk CSR strategy and its translation into the communities we serve.
    • Drive Brand Visibility & presentation-both internally and externally.
    • Drive localization and development of compelling PR stories/narratives that appeal to Kyosk’s different audiences, while dialing back to our tech led positioning.
    • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and global operations & strategy, to understand the technology, product and operational needs of the execution of the sales initiatives.
    • Reports: Develop, prepare and furnish the leadership team with reports for all the above, including relevant metrics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

    Minimum Qualifications & Desired Skills:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing / Business or any related field; 
    • An MBA in management, business or experience in management consulting or similar will be an added advantage;
    • Relevant Professional Body Qualifications / Professional Certifications is an added advantage;
    • 10 years fast-track (or 15 years progressive) inter-functional experience within FMCG, Telecommunications or Advertising Agency;
    • Deep understanding of brand positioning and marketing as key catalysts to growth;
    • Demonstrated ability to build and nurture brands from scratch.
