    School Operations Manager/ Administrator

    • Close liaison with the Managing Director on all programs and activities and smooth running of the institution.
    • Lead in implementing, reviewing and updating of the Standard Operating Procedures upholding the expected transparency and accountability in delivery of all Academic, Operations and Administrative services at the School
    • Lead, supervise and coordinate seamlessly all staff ensuring they are motivated enough to deliver exceptional services in their roles aligned to the School’s vision, mission and goals
    • Drive the objective to have the school’s Rules & Regulations observed by all stakeholders, reviewed and updated as required; ensuring the general discipline of the school is maintained at all times; parents, teachers, non-teaching staff and pupils are well informed of and practice relevant guidelines and expectations
    • Ensure the operations of the school run like a well-oiled machine with all functions adequately resourced; have sufficient and timely information flow to the relevant teams for smooth performance in their daily duties
    • Ensure that safety and security is maintained within the school at all times; all the relevant staff are well aware of the related procedures and their roles in maintaining the safety and security of the school environment
    • Manage the school transport department and team, ensuring safe and reliable services are given to pupils and staff at all times and the schedules and vehicles are well maintained and serviced
    • Oversee that the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in the school’s compound, field, facilities, offices, buses; including the Kitchen area (food and beverages) service to the pupils and staff
    • Work closely with the headteacher to support on any administrative tasks required to support management of the Teaching staff and the pupils’ affairs during school term and holiday activities.
    • Facilitate all logistics required by the Head Teacher for the Teaching staff supporting them deliver in their role of providing a conducive teaching and learning environment
    • Support the Managing Director in coordination of the recruitment and selection processes and training activities of Administrative staff, all support staff and teaching staff as needed
    • Work closely with the School Bursar/ Accountant during the budgeting process for the school ensuring that the Administrative support functions provide the correct and current information for budgeting of their daily expenditures
    • Managing the general administration of the school ensuring it is maintained as a choice teaching and learning institution in the region
    • Being the key contact person on all Administrative matters internally and with external public or private stakeholders (parents , officials in Education Health, Safety, Security, among others)

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • At least 7-10 years (part in senior position) of experience as an education institution Operations manager/Administrator or Head-Teacher or similar managerial experience in other institutions
    • Experience with Education curricular in Kenya and implementation, procurement processes, Maintenance, human resource management, policy development & implementation, performance management, book keeping, basic budgeting, stores management and logistics
    • University Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma (with combined experience) in Business Administration, Project management or Education
    • Other professional courses and/or experience are an added advantage
