    Human Resource Intern

     (CUK/NT/HR/21/5(1)

    Qualification: Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized or accredited Institution.

    Duties and responsibilities

    In liaison with the Principal Human Resource Manager:

    • Handling routine correspondences in the department;
    • Updating staff data on the internal Human Resource Management System;
    • Processing staff appraisal and staff leave;
    • Providing secretariat services to various university committees
    • Organizing staff training sessions and activities;
    • Summarizing applications for shortlisting and interviews;
    • Confirming vacancy positions against the approved establishment;
    • Drafting internal and external adverts for academic & non- teaching staff;
    • Monitoring staff performance and attendance;
    • Enforcement of disciplinary procedures

    Academic staff should include:

    1. Evidence of publications;  
    2. Evidence of supervision of postgraduate students;
    3. Evidence of curricula developed;
    4. Evidence research funds attracted.

    Clearly indicate the position and the reference number on the application letter and on the envelope which should be addressed to:

    The Co-operative University of Kenya,
    P.O Box 24814-00502. Karen, Nairobi, Kenya.

    Recommendations from at least three (3) referees should be sent separately to the address above on or before Thursday, 17th June, 2021 at 12 noon;
    All applications must be received by Thursday, 17th June, 2021 at 12 noon. Applications received later than this period will not be considered;

    SHORTLISTED candidates will be required to submit VALID AND CURRENT clearance certificates from the following:

    1. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
    2. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
    3. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC);
    4. Criminal Investigation Department (Certificate of Good Conduct); and
    5. Registered Credit Reference Bureau;
    6. In addition, those with academic qualifications obtained from foreign Universities will also be expected to undertake recognition and equation of their certificates from the Commission of University Education (CUE).
