Rugby Coach at KCA University (KCAU)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise the use of sports facilities and equipment assigned to the Rugby team;
• Initiate participation of the rugby team in relevant sports tournaments/activities;
• Ensure the implementation of sports policy and procedures at the team level;
• Liaise with the sports coordinator on prompt medical attention for injured players;
• Accompany students for tournaments as instructed by Sports Coordinator;
• Attend training sessions as scheduled by the department;
• Ensure that all students in the team attend all training as scheduled and punctually without fail;
• Maintain student discipline during the training sessions and while on assignment outside the University premises;
• Promptly report any indiscipline to the Sports Coordinator;
• Ensure appropriate preparation and management of all competitions and matches.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by your Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• KCSE C (plain).
• Diploma in sports, physical education or a related field will be an added advantage.
• 3 years’ experience in coaching Rugby in a learning institution.
• Computer Literate
• Sound knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport.
