Our client is looking to recruit a Lead Warehouse & Outbound Logistics for their plant located in Thika. The ideal candidate must have substantial experience in managing warehouse and logistics functions within a large-scale manufacturing environment. A minimum of 10–12 years of relevant experience in warehouse and logistics management is required. Proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi languages will be an added advantage to enhance communication within the diverse stakeholder base.
Duties:
Handling entire Finished Goods Warehouse Operations and being responsible for smooth processes from receiving goods from Production to goods leaving the factory premises
Ensure digitisation of Warehouse, Dispatch Center, and outbound logistics for both domestic and exports
Responsible to bring world class practices for Warehouse and Dispatch Center management
Responsible to evaluate Fleet Management Systems and implement the best solutions
Ensure best security and checking systems are implemented to have NIL pilferages
Play a crucial role in Route -to market project by dedicating required time and providing inputs
Responsible for Exports back-end logistics support – from order receipt to order fulfilment including paperwork
Oversee the re-work and bundling done in Warehouse for Finished Goods and ensure least damage
Plan the manpower requirement in well manner resulting in least overtime and fatigue
Monitor Market Returns on daily basis and prepare solutions to reduce market returns and get it implemented by liaising with Production and Back-office team
Responsible for regular upkeep and maintenance of warehouse as per standards
Coordinate with Sales Back Office team for projected orders on daily basis to arrange vehicles to ensure smooth deliveries
Manage and Monitor Weighbridge & ensure NIL pilferages by continuously doing random audits/checks and implement processes to reduce pilferages
Liaise with Sales Back office and Transporters for debit notes & damages & ensure debits are made as per policy
Meet Key Transporters regularly to understand challenges, issues and impose corrective actions to improve delivery standards
Explore opportunities for competitive transportation services and bring new partners on board
Implement processes and measures to reduce damages, theft during transits – FOG for Outbound Logistics
Train & Educate Logistics teams to reduce damages during loading and dispatch
Requirements:
Minimum relevant experience required is 10-12 years in warehouse & logistics management.
Must have experience of handling warehouse and logistics in a large manufacturing company setup
Proficiency in Gujarati or Hindi is advantageous, given the cultural and business context of key stakeholders.
