    Learning Specialist

    WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

    You will be based in one of our offices across African continent as part of our learning team. 

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    You will develop learning strategy and plans, including defining learning needs, forecasting demand for future program. In this role, you will be developing learning calendars and journeys for specific groups of learners. You will also drive the strategic thinking and operational delivery of local learning and onboarding programs (i.e. qualifying participants, recruiting faculty, occasionally serving as faculty, overseeing logistics, managing program finances, collecting, evaluating, communicating and acting upon feedback). 
    You will monitor firm learning program completion, taking action where needed. You will also provide guidance to and advise learners on their learning and development journeys, ensuring the right learning opportunities at the right time. Lastly, you will also be contributing to and be leading ad-hoc learning projects and initiatives.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Undergraduate degree required 5+ years of experience in human resources or people development within a professional services firmExperience in learning, coaching or with professional development
    2. Excellent organizational and project management skills, ability to structure thinking and work, ability to multitask, and track record of strong demonstrated leadershipExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and listening) with groups of varying size and at all levels; strong influencing capabilities
    3. Ability to connect/collaborate with partners, consultants and other support function colleaguesStrong problem-solving skills and the flexibility to deal with unexpected (sometimes conflicting) situations and obstacles in a fast-paced and quick-changing environment; ability to build consensusGreat energy, drive and entrepreneurship
    4. Comfort with numbers, analysis and systems
    5. Ability to work independently and collaborativelyExperience and confidence in using IT-based systems and tools
