    Manager, Administration and Staff Welfare

    Job Purpose

    • The job holder will be responsible for creating an enabling environment through efficient provision of quality and cost effective administrative support services in terms of office space and equipment, transport and other required provisions for the organization to realize its business objectives.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing strategies for efficient and cost-effective use of office utilities and services;
    • Co-ordinating the purchase and distribution of staff measured uniforms;
    • Implementing policies, procedures and program within the Framework of OSH Act of 2007;
    • Facilitating both local and foreign travel for staff;
    • Co-ordinating staff welfare services;
    • Ensuring effective management and insurance of the Authority’s vehicles;
    • Ensuring timely payment of utility bills for services provided; and
    • Supervising contracted service providers to ensure compliance with the contract requirements and the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

    Key Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration (Human Resource Management Option), Social Sciences from a recognized institution
    • Master’s degree is desirable
    • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) /Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
    • Member of Institute of Human Resource Management and in good standing
    • A minimum period of 8 years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience
    • Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
    • A valid practicing certificate/ license
    • Proficiency in computer applications

    Skills and Competencies

    • Teamwork, good communication, interpersonal, supervisory and analytical skills.

    Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit the following clearance certificates as per the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010:

    • Police Clearance Certificate from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
    • Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
    • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
    • Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-corruption Authority (EACC)
    • Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

    The clearance certificates should be valid and current. The self-declaration Form from EACC should indicate the respective position that is being applied for. Only shortlisted and successful candidates shall be contacted. Shortlisted candidates shall be required to provide original National Identity Card, Academic and Professional Certificates during the interview.
