Murang’a County is one of the five counties in the Central region of the Republic of Kenya. It is bordered to the North by Nyeri, to the South by Kiambu, to the West by Nyandarua and to the East by Kirinyaga, Embu and Machakos counties.
Youth unemployment is a major challenge currently facing young people across the country, particularly in Murang'a County. To address this, the County Government has initiated the Murang'a Youth Service (MYS). This program offers temporary employment and targeted short courses for a duration of three months. Upon successful completion of the training and service period, participants will be issued a grant to serve as seed capital for self-employment.
