About the job

1. Work with patients who have a range of conditions, including neurological, neuro musculoskeletal, Orthopedic, cardiovascular and respiratory and book them regularly for follow up and continued treatment where required/refer
2. Diagnose, assess and treat their physical problem/condition
3. Develop and review treatment programmes that encourage exercise and movement by the use of a range of techniques;
4. Involve parents and carers in the treatment, review and rehabilitation of patients and educate them about how to prevent and/or improve conditions;
5. Write patient case notes and reports and collect statistics where needed;
6. Liaise with other healthcare professionals, such as Orthopedic Doctors, General Practitioners, Occupational therapists, social workers as needed to exchange information about the progress of patients, as well as to refer patients who require other medical attention;
7. Keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients;
8. Be legally responsible and accountable, caring, compassionate and professional at all times;
9. Manage clinical risk, adhere to standards of patient care, treatment protocols and documentation standards for the facility
10. Performing all key functions with regard to Physical therapy and additional, other related functions as directed when appropriate and also adhering to standards of performance as required by the institution

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience Required at Entry:

1. Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
2. 2 years experience
