Job Requirements

• Be a holder of Bachelor’s Degree in the following discipline Tourism Management, project management, Marketing or related field from a recognized institution in Kenya
• Be a holder of a Diploma in Tourism Management, Events Management, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field from a recognized institution
• Member of a recognized professional body relevant to the above requirements
• Must have relevant knowledge and experience of not less than 3 years in a related area 
• Demonstrate professional competency in work performance and result
• Must satisfy requirement of Chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010.

Job Description

• Researching markets to identify opportunities for tourism
• Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets).
• Coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire
• Selling sponsorship/stand/exhibition space to potential exhibitors/partners.
• Liaising with marketing and PR agencies and Media to promote and cover the event.
• Liaising with clients and designers to create a brand for the event.
• Develop and production of IEC Materials for events such as production of tickets, posters, catalogues and sales brochures.
• Promotion of Tourism activities through different online platforms.
• Coordinating suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly.
• Post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders.
