Job purpose

Reports to Head of National Sales. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing regional sales and marketing operations and acting as a liaison between the regional sales depot and head office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieving set sales targets for the region.
• Management of the sales and distribution network at the regional level.
• Overseeing the sales team performance and effective controlling of the resources for the region.
• Preparation of budget for the region.
• Collecting and controlling daily sales revenue.
• Monitoring the performance of brands, availability and competitor’s activities in the region.
• Conduct daily sales audits through planned customer visit.
• Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualifications and Personal Specifications

• Bachelors of commerce in marketing or an equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Master’s in business administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of ten (10) years’ work experience and at least four (4) years in a management role in comparable and relevant position.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in an FMCG environment.
• Membership in a relevant professional body in good standing.
• Proficiency in standard office computer applications.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Demonstrated results in work performance.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid driving license.
