    Sales & Marketing Executive

    About the Opportunity

    Based at the regional office in Nairobi, The Marketing and Sales Executive will be responsible for designing and implementing sales and marketing strategies and conducting thorough marketing research on products and services as well as follow up on leads on the analysis of customer behavior in order to support client acquisition and retention through customer enquiries and feedback.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organizations as may be needed in marketing and market research campaigns
    • Communicating with target audiences and managing customer relationships
    • Create and manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletters as may be the case. Assist in aspects of vehicle, uniform and promotional items branding
    • Collate all necessary materials, activities and information regarding Company events or news into newsletters/magazines in liaison with line managers.
    • Reviewing and advising on advertising opportunities and placing approved adverts in the press, internet, websites, if the Company seeks to pursue these options
    • Organizing and attending events such as conferences, seminars, trade shows and exhibitions including sourcing and securing sponsorship as may be needed
    • Conducting required consumer market research that may entail using customer questionnaires.
    • Work as part of the Sales Team, with involvement in all team activities as required including providing support by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, as well as new product information
    • Be the brand champion, ensuring consistent use and maximization of the corporate brand.  And ensure compliance with brand specifications in all forms of communications
    • Any other duties as may be assigned by Management.

    Minimum requirements

    • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Marketing Management or Sales and Marketing with a bias towards Marketing
    • 3 years’ experience in marketing or similar role
    • Demonstrate knowledge of Marketing and Destination Management
    • Professional Course/Certification in Marketing preferred
    • Good project management skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • A passion for sales and understanding of commercial trends and marketing strategies.
    • Knowledge in French &/or Spanish will be an added advantage
    • Demonstrate flexibility to extensive travel/evening & weekend hours where required
    • Proven problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent aptitude for professionalism, organization, attention to detail, responsiveness, and follow-through.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, customer relationship management software, LinkedIn, and social media.
    • Highly knowledgeable with Excel, and budgeting, and have good time management skills
