Senior Civic Education Officer (6 Positions) at Kitui County

Requirements for Appointment

• Be a Kenyan Citizen;
• Served in the grade of Civic Education Officer I or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service for at least three (3) years;
• Bachelor’s degree in any Social Science or its comparable and relevant qualification from recognized institution;
• Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution; and
• In-depth understanding of the Constitution of Kenya and the relevant legislations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To educate, inform, train and raise awareness to the population on various Civic Education issues of National and County interest;
• Assist in the designing and production of Civic Education training programs for the formal and informal sectors;
• Assist in the designing, development, production and dissemination of civic education, information and training materials;
• Participate in the teaching of Civic Education issues and their execution in institutions and other bodies including schools, Universities, professional circles, Communities, society (County Level);
• Assist is publicizing Civic Education issues with the aim of increasing Public awareness, participation and action;
• Assisting in the preparation of annual report and budget estimates for the department; and
• Any other duties may be assigned by a competent authority.
