Vihiga County whose headquarters is in Mbale is Located in the Western Region of Kenya. It boarders Nandi to the East, Kisumu County to the South, Siaya County to the West and KAKAMEGA County to the North. It is one of the four Counties in the former Western Province. Vihiga County has five Constituencies; Luanda, Emuhaya, Hamisi, Sabatia and Vihiga. The County’s population stands at 612,000.

Survey Field Assistant III - 3 Posts

Duties and responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade to this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail;
- Carrying out angular and distance measurements and computation for small topographical;
- Site engineering;
- General boundary and
- Photo control surveys.
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;
- Certificate in Land Surveying from a recognized institution and
- Certificate in computer packages;
- A candidate with work experience shall be an added advantage;
- Satisfies the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
- Salary scale: The salary, allowances and other benefits attached to this position will be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
